So what's your data/reasoning for the investment? And hopes keep things going? Why this vs another more established coin, or another coin which has also continually decreased in value?

The quote from investopedia below explain my reasoning of investing on POT, there was a blood on the street and I decided to invest. Today will put 30$ which makes 210$/week and increase it gradually. I am a bull investor, always have hopes and invest on coins with great community and will resume that way until POT reaches the place it has to be

Rothschild made a fortune buying in the panic that followed the Battle of Waterloo against Napoleon. But that's not the whole story. The original quote is believed to be "Buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own."

This is contrarian investing at its heart - the strongly-held belief that the worse things seem in the market, the better the opportunities are for profit.

Interesting. I can see that as very valuable in normal markets, for myself I wouldn't use it in the crypto world in general, though Potcoin at the outset has had greater foundation than others. You would've made a killing back when it was in the 3500satoshi @ 420pot/block range.

Best of luck.

Potlabs update on lots of new development

PotWallet Updates:

PotWallet has gone through extensive development and many new features are coming up.

The LocalPot marketplace will be integrated directly in the wallet giving users an easy way to buy, sell and use Potcoins all in one place. This should be up on PotWallet within 2 weeks.

Full API to easily interact with any functions of the wallet will be available. Developers will be able to build Potcoin related apps directly using our platform.

Merchant System Updates:

Merchant (offline & online) systems are being tested and finalized.

For the offline merchants, we have put together a full solution for merchants to accept Potcoins. Due to regulations in place in the US, it will take efforts on many fronts to be fully compliant and provide an easy way for merchants get paid in Fiat.

On the other hand, if US dispensaries want to hold on their Potcoin or want to convert them to BTC > Fiat, then they can feel free to use the system as well.

As a Canadian corporation, we can only cater to Canadian businesses and citizens to convert their Potcoin directly to Fiat.

We take the volatility of Potcoin price out of the equation for merchants. Merchants get the exact amount in Fiat they charged to customer at time of transaction.

As for Canada, all necessary steps were put into place to already serve merchants and users.

These systems are being finalized and the sales team is already in place to promote Potcoin to local dispensaries in Canada as well as promote it to its users.

We will start turning up merchants in the next couple weeks, we will post updates on how all this is progressing.

Potcoin ATM's

Every merchant will act as a direct vendor of Potcoins as well. The plan is to provide them a turn-key solution to accept Potcoins in 5 minutes. Tablets will have a dual purpose, serving as the POS for the merchant and a Potcoin ATM for anyone wanting to purchase Potcoins.

As adoption grows, we will deploy Potcoin ATM's in key areas around the cities we are currently serving.

Conclusion

We want to reassure the community that we are actively on this.

PotLabs is now a team of 6 crypto enthusiasts working very hard to bring all the necessary technology infrastructure Potcoin needs to thrive.

We invite you to contact us directly if you have any other questions.

If you're going to compare, keep the apples with the apples, it's best to compare on the original block size. Pot has already halved once, so halve the current value to see the real value. If you also account for difficulty increase at the block change, technically you should take the current value and divide by 4.

This is why bitcoin/litecoin have still performed better in the longrun, as with block and difficulty changes, their value has still increased over time.

I'm not vested in Maryjane coin to any degree, just saying comparisons need to be equal.

i would like to know what growers are going to sell 1 gram of pot under 1 penny.

cann is backed by this candy strain... who is selling this and loosing all the money?

it costs a few dollars to produce marijuana so i don't see this works in the real world and yo have to pay tax on it also.

this all sound great in principle, someone please explain to me how you see this working exactly.

So let me get this correct, your saying your coin is not backed by anything?, or its got value because it has what exactly to back it up.

This a pipe dream?.

http://www.coyotewallstreet.com/

can someone scroll down to bottom of page and explain what the fuck is going down, wire tapping recordings?.

Gonna grab me some pop corn.

CANN made a super smart move and seriously killed the subsidy (inflation).

It doesn't seem like the POT devs wanna follow such good examples set by a number of other top coins as well, like DARKcoin, NAUT, etc.

Too bad - the dilution (even with the halvings) is way too much for POT and the max supply cap (even if it's farther out) is simply killing investor value.

dude there are going to be alot of pissed off baghlders of cann soon. that whole peg thing is a joke. you get a free pre roll joint with 1 cann of something that they give away free anyway. cann is great for people who know nothing about pot or dispensaries but its all hype that is going to end bad for a lot of people.
