yeah they are exchange or peer to peer tradeable but what i dont get is do you keep the eth you send in to make the tokens?
i heard something about a 28 day period for holding or something.. i gotta search for a thedao thread.
I think that 28 days is the period to subscribe to DAO tokens Also in the early day, you get more tokens with the same amount of Ethereum than in the later days. So it is better to invest early. second push today for ETH: DAOhub subscription, or new investors (caseyreseatch et al.), or both ? I think that the DAOhub ICO has generated a lot of positive for ETH, as that seams to be the recommended way to participate in the ICO. BTC/USD->ETH->DAO ICO. From the looks of it, many investors seem eager to get into DAOhub being that the slock.it team are involved.

There's really no hard evidence. The message he claimed he signed was fake and he refuses to sign a new one...

Anyone got some advice for mining? I have tried using my 860M (nvidia) to mine using geth and ethminer, blockchain is synced, dag is created, but my display driver keeps crashing and recovering every time I try to start the mining, thus giving me 0 hashes. So far I have not found any solutions online. I have tried using the "standard" opencl ethminer and also the cuda version. My graphics card drivers are up-to-date.
Not good enough for ETH mining.

anyone here knowledgable? Thx Please help me with two small questions:
When I am given an ETH address 0x... - I want to check if it is valid, in Python. Is there some kind of checksum embedded into an ETH address, like a cross sum? Any ready (Python) code for checking?
What is the maximum (ASCII string) length of an ETH 0x... address? Is it the same for contract addresses?
Thanks a lot!

I have opened my eyes for ethereum.
I just dont know where to buy. Should I buy BTC and then send them to poloniex, and then trade the btc to eth? Can I then trade it back to USD on that exchange?
Let me know of any good wallet for this please. Cheers.

Re bitgold: The parent company of bitgold is listed on the Toronto stock exchange (VAU.X) and also looks like an interesting investment to consider. Particularly if you are amongst those anticipating a bull run for gold.
In the US its symbol is BTGDX.
