Today, we are excited to announce in an effort to bring our members every conceivable form of currency, we are on track to launch Litecoin and Ethereum in April and May 2016, respectively.
At Uphold, we care about the underlying principles that embrace innovation, such as open source development, bitcoin and other blockchain-based technologies. Their potential for disruption in the financial sector, including traditional financial institutions, regulatory bodies (and beyond) is monumental.

As Uphold delivers its vision for the Internet of Money™, we strive to create a seamless and inclusive financial platform where its free to hold, move, convert and transact in any form of currency or commodity. Our platform combines world-class service and support with features that incorporate and celebrate the development of new and innovative technologies and companies, such as Voxelus and its in game currency, the Voxel.

Furthermore, Uphold continues to innovate with the goal of providing our members with access to all forms of value -- That's why today we are proud to announce the upcoming support of two new blockchain based currencies: Ethereum and Litecoin these additions will allow even more ways for our members to take advantage of any new and disruptive applications

We chose to support these two new cryptocurrencies because of their growing popularity in the developer and open source communities, financial traders and enthusiasts. We will launch Litecoin in April 2016 and Ethereum in May 2016. Until then, we invite you to check out ‪http://Ethereum.org and ‪http://Litecoin.org to learn more about these two great new additions to the Uphold platform.

We can't wait to extend all the benefits Ethereum and Litecoin can bring to you, our members. In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you: Send any questions or comments to jorge@uphold.com

Uphold is what used to be called BitReserve. They're very keen to disassociate themselves with Bitcoin but be known as a digital money outfit providing banking services without being a bank. I can't comment on the previous poster's comment about their reputation or business practises.

http://fortune.com/2015/10/14/bitreserve-bitcoin-uphold/

Very odd though to be making a big-splash announcement about choosing to support "two new cryptocurrencies" when one of them is Litecoin. WTF....that's like some software company putting out a new product and making a big song and dance that it "now supports Java!"

Anyone that's done an R9 280x mining rig build got their configuration?  I'm sure the research has already been done on which CPU/MB/HDD/RAM/PSU combo offers the best price/quality point for a mining rig.  Wanna share?  Grin Grin Bonus points for price breakdown!
Thanks!

Well thanks to all the eth hype and pump spam, I had a fun time opening shorts before each dump as this thing cascaded towards its proper value.

Shaking weak hands. It's simple. Wait few days and ETH will rebound. A lot of big players wants to buy ETH. Last ATH it wasn't pump. Real pump come soon. Remember my words.

Up and down, down and up... it's classical before mega pump. Bounce, bounce and when all big players bought x3, x3 more then ignition going to the moon. Rollercoaster to buy a lot of coins and made giants profits on shorts. Some awesome news (ETH added to Coinbase) in next week and price will skyrocket.

TLDR: Kraken has been getting server attacked since the ETH pump, be cautious. Poloniex is highly suspicious, with trade bots and fake trading volume/book activity, as well as withdrawal problems and verification problems. Lots of fake IRC channel users to make ETH seem more popular than it is. ETH's PR manager has mysteriously lost her job with ETH after putting out a pump post on Twitter that she never delivered for. ETH devs are dumping on the markets, and the timing of this bubble is suspicious when they were only just recently complaining about the vitality of raising funds to fund ETH development.
