More places to sell your ethers. I don't really see why are you so happy, Mr Pumpy?

wow DAO almost $20mill  Shocked in first week,  2mill less ETH in supply  Shocked

We just need 40 such projects to absorb all the Ethereum. Is there any other similar projects in pipeline at the moment?

im sure there will be many more use cases that will do exactly what u said.

What is the big deal?  The ETH will be returned to the owners so you can dump later at lower prices or dump now.   And why would anyone send their ETH to the DAO?  None of this is clear to me, all I know is that many ETH disappeared from Poloniex sell side and will be back later to dump again.

Do the ETH sent to the DAO provide some type of income to the owners or is this just a ploy to generate more volatility to the price so speculators can make more money.

Mr. Pumpertis please explain since you seem to be such a knowledgeable pumper.

hi ray
do u know much about dash?
they have a governance system, lets miners, mn holders etc to vote on dash proposals , which in the end benefit the coin long term and gives devs an income. only problem is dash gets dumped to fund ideas.
What i think dao is doing is something similar but without the need to dump ETH, while projects are being built.
dao holders vote on proposals put to them by the doa curators ( eth team more or less ) right now slockit, mobotiq (contractors) and another are the first choices.
Contractors may also give The DAO token special meaning as part of their own product or services (e.g., offering discounted product offerings in exchange for DAO tokens). Again, this is completely dependent on the Proposal terms, defined in the smart contract code of the Proposal.
afaik, this is the only way to participate in slockit as they will not be doing any form of ico/ipo/crowdsale.

misleading though as people can burn their tokens in a split and take back their investment if the return or system isnt what they expected it to be after the funding period.

@Mrpumperitis, trying to understand The DAO better. Are you saying that there won't be a separate ICO for Slock.it? That The DAO will be funding it?

I'm rereading daohub.org trying to figure this out, and also http://www.icocountdown.com/ has The DAO ICO listed in brackets as (slock.it project).

dao holders vote on proposals put to them by the doa curators ( eth team more or less ) right now slockit, mobotiq (contractors) and another are the first choices.

Mr. Pumpertis please explain since you seem to be such a knowledgeable person  Grin.

But he seems to know much about ETH.

hi ray
....
afaik, this is the only way to participate in slockit as they will not be doing any form of ico/ipo/crowdsale.

Thanks for the explanation, it is interesting but there does not seem to be enough or clear incentives to exchange ETH for tokens.  By the amount of ETH sent to the DAO one would assume that people expect the tokens to have a higher value than ETH.

I have a couple of questions:

AFTER the 28 days is the ETH sent back automatically or do I have to do a solo split?
If I do a DAO split will I still have "representative reward tokens"?
What are "representative reward tokens?
What advantages have real tokens vs ·representative reward tokens.
Many more questions but this should help me understand.

You can just delete the wallet folder and put the new folder in. As long as the user\appdata\roaming\ethereum\keystore folder is untouched it's fine.

EDIT: If you're not sure about deleting the old folder you can just keep it and run the new version from the new folder and make sure it is working first before you delete the old one.

Also the 0.7.2 version appears to be broken currently if you try to watch the DAO contract, but 0.6.2 seems to be working fine. See here:

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a Windows or Linux dual miner (ETH + Decred ) for Nvidia cards?

I don't think there is one for nVidia cards. The AMD one is here:

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a Windows or Linux dual miner (ETH + Decred ) for Nvidia cards?

I don't think there is one for nVidia cards. The AMD one is here:

The Claymore's miner is also working with Linux. So it is good for the the Liniux miners. The network hash rate will increase again.
