It looks like we're going to end the day with a big ole red candle, but I don't think the bottom is in for this sell-off yet. The next supports for ETH are $320 and $290, and then the strength of the bounce will determine what happens next.
For BTC, the support lines are ~$4300 and then $4000 (bitfinex).
I wouldn't be overly optimistic though. If you look back, the last time the market was at an ATH and we had a sell-off this large and this fast back in June, we entered a bear market for weeks.
The bounce will tell.
EDIT: If you're in any alts at the moment, I would seriously consider exiting on the next rally.
If we do go into market-contraction mode, I seem to remember that alt coins took a huge hammering last time (I'm looking at you Golem, you temptress).

What makes the --fast mode different?

It downloads only the data needed for the network to reach consensus, not all the un-needed or outdated stuff. A bit like pruning with Bitcoin Core except that with Ethereum it only works when you download chaindata from the scratch (for now).

So if you're having some troubles catching up with the network (after a few days/weeks with the computer off for example) or if you're having space issues on your disk, you can always erase the chaindata and restart geth in fast sync mode. Source here.

Interesting thoughts  Smiley ... we'll see ...

I hope some alts will go up very fast  Grin ... especially this ones I'm invested in ... e.g. Golem  Grin

Anything wrong with MyEtherWallet? It's not even loading after logging in.

there is a possibility that the network in your country is in trouble or there is a collision, because here I tried to open myetherwallet and the results are quite good without any problems.
but usually such problems are rare especially in myetherwallet

Could there be a way to lock ICO money into time sensitive smart contracts contingent upon the dev team completing objectives that were revealed pre-ICO?
Perhaps investors could be able to unlock % chunks of their own seed money after each development objective is completed as sort of a peer review mechanism.
This could weed out those who are here strictly to flip coins for profit while at the same time keeping the dev team honest.
This idea is obviously flawed and not yet fully developed.

Run wallet locally. And use your keystore file to open your wallet in myetherwallet to accept tokens. For me this is easiest

For the first time since August 20, Ethereum price dipped below the $300 mark, to $295 as the market cap of Ethereum plunged by $6 billion in a single day. Earlier today, on September 4, price of Ether dropped by 10 percent after showing some signs of recovery.

I think China is behind this price drop. Look at price differences betwen Chinese exhanges and US&EU based exhanges. Huge difference up to 20%. Hodl, don't get fooled. Patience is a virtue. We've been in this situation many times...

Hi gadado !

If you have a slow Internet connexion and/or an HDD, it's only normal that you're syncing so slowly, especially given that Mist 0.9.0 is also synchronising with Swarm which can take much bandwidth.

If you want to run a full node nonetheless, I can only advise you to close Mist, delete all the chaindata already downloaded (whithout deleting your keyfile(s) of course) and relaucnh Mist on --fast mode using cmd.exe (if you're on Windows). Detailed workthrough on Mist official Github page.

Thank you a lot for your help.

That started well but ended up to become extremly slow after 4 mil again. In fact it still hasn't synchronized. What is worse if I open the wallet with that fast blockchain I don't see my coins in it. All I see is an internal test transaction I did in the past.
Do you know if the coins ammount will be correct once it completed the fast blockchain or did my fast blockchain end up unusable after all?

So for a test I restored the slow blockchain. Glad I didn't delete it. There I see the coins.
I only switched the geth folder and never touched the keystore folder so it should be the same keys/wallet.

The slow blockchain has now 84 GByte (still 200k blocks missing)
The fast blockchain has 35 GByte mabye 20k blocks missing and the coins missing.

I wonder... isn't there a blockchain data packed provided from the official pages to download somewhere?

Don't know what that mist is doing but downloading 100Gbyte is not something that should takes days. Downloaded worse in a few hours. It would be way faster and less troublesome if one could simple download that blockchain from somewhere trusted I think.

Eth is really at very low compated to BTC.

I can easily see ETH hitting 60 billion$ before the year ends. It's a massive project especially now that Russians are joining the mining space.

Plus you have tons of ICO's coming that bring value into this.

ETH can easily beat BTC.  Wink
Yes, there so many strong ICO project are developed under this Ethereum technology and many are coming. That's good enough to increase the volume and price. Keep going smoothly, there don't need to hurry!

But no one work  Smiley outside POC. I mean mass adoption. Seems last growth period is not organic too

in fact it is in decline

Ok there is a correction now, nothing unusual, it's expected.

But after the dust settles, we are going to see tons of tokens bring in massive value.

I mean we have things like VERI or PPT that could potentially bring in hundreds of billions of $ from the financial sector.

It's crazy but it's totally possible. Most new ICO's are overstretched, and scammy, that is why people are selling ETH now.

Only those will survive that have professional/ financial market aspect. So I am confident in VERI and PPT at this moment.

Which exchange has the fastest ach deposit time?
I know Gemini has instant but is capped at 500.

I'd pimento take advantage top these dips but with gdax deposits taking over a week it's generally impossible.

Kraken:
ETHEUR appears to be leading still. Support is on the 1H Tenkan, resistance is on the Kijun. If that resistance breaks in the next few hours, we'll have a weak bullish TK cross for the first time in many days.
Liquidity seems low though, which is kind of scary.
ETHUSD building it's support line on the Tenkan.
ETHBTC is attempting to break out from the resistance of the Kijun.
We're all hoping for a green day and I think we'll have it.
My target for top of the day, in case a breakout occurs, is 286€, where the next resistance Fib Line is located.

Ethereum against the US Dollar has descended swiftly in a short time period. The channel created now could be leading for further correction for the pair ETH/USD.
Supports were not strong enough at all to withstand the selling pressure, concluded with Ether trading below $300 against the USD.
Major resistances forming around the $320 mark on the hourly chart of the pair ETH/USD.
There could a minor recovery momentum formed which very likely to be followed with sellers taking action and tanking the price at $300 and $320. https://t.co/POgSE5jkQq

now this etherium price is 0.07047590 BTC , this price is better than yesterday which decreased considerably,
and make everyone restless and immediately sell etherium , and now if the presentation through the price of yesterday amounted 3.93%,
or now the price of etherium is $ 304.29
