Indeed it's good option to check the network status before make any transaction if we need to get confirmed in matter of seconds. Now network is normally and low fee is also acceptable to make transactions.

I hold 3 and a half ether and saddly it seems that I will have to sell them now cause I have bills to pay,very bad time to sell eth but what can I do. What do you think, will it ever be possible to pay your bills directly with ether? That would be very sexy.

It depend on the location in some parts of the Europe it is possible to pay utility bills using ETH via 3rd party service. If you are asking this to get service from ETH directly than I don't think it is possible in future too. Some people already working on this concept to bring dapps to make it flexible for all to make it more useful in all fields of life.

Around Ethereum, an entire infrastructure has been created from various projects. for this reason Ethereum has one way direction and that is upwards. I also think that by the end of the year the ETH will reach a high price.

Recently, I see that the number of transactions in the network is quite large about 65K, but Gas price remains within 2-5 Gwei. A month ago in the ETH network this figure was much higher, I think it was a manipulation.

We must be more patience due to however the technology behind of the ethereum is still new in the world, it can be called as beta version give time for the developer of team to fix the scaling issues in ethereum's platform and any other related with the technology of ethereum, at least we know that ethereum has good potential in the future to change the world to be more better than right now.

Yes, there is really good news, but the price is not happy yet, some strange movement down the opposite trend of Btc.

You still need to get 51% of the hashrate for that. And the hashrate is 215TH/s every second, 24H a day. I don't think one can choose the tx to hash for.

For half a billion dollar worth of eth, one could find a way, or at least give it a go.

I don't think you understand the magnitude of what you're talking about. It's possible, but far far down on the scale of likelihood.

What do you guys think about the possibility of a telecom attack? Hacking or bribing a few big internet access points, spamming that you are the fastest exit to all eth nodes and send the traffic to oblivion, but let one personal node and miner run. That could be a less expensive alternative way to reach the pot would it grow to half a billion $.

After many debates and EIPs, Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin and Vlad Zamfir have finally proposed a transition to Proof-of-Stake algorithm, which will be self-sustained after August 15th, 2018.

During the transition period, Ethereum will run on a hybrid PoW/PoS algorithm, allowing both miners and stakers to validate transactions and earn Ether. After August 15th, PoW will no longer be sustained and all blocks will be generated by the PoS mechanism.
As the PoS mechanism is still in transition mode, staking is reserved for registered addresses, until further development and release of GUI wallets (Q3 2018).

In cooperation with MyEtherWallet - the open source web wallet for the Ethereum blockchain, we are able to allow Ether holders to stake their ETH and earn dividends on a weekly basis. Weighted Ether can be staked for up to 10% ROI, until further implementations on the PoS algorithm.
