Ethereum cross 1k$ within this year? Is it possible ? Could be, could be. But that also mean Bitcoin could cross $13,000. Technically speaking both could top out at that price levels before re-testing the lower support prices again. It could be a reaction to the extended bear market where there was zero rebounds.
With regards to network competition such as Tron and Binance coin, nothing can beat ETH's brain pool, it even has more devs than Bitcoin has.

With stability in the market it might be possible but I doubt it very much. Maybe it will peak at $300-$400 then stabilise before January 2020 but I think $1000 might be a bridge too far. |

ETH not moving as good as bitcoin is doing, but when bitcoin is on a big run, that $1,000 could possibly happen this year. The past trends would say bitcoin dictated the movement of altcoins and bitcoin help this market to grow by attracting new investors. FOMO could happen again, and investors will not only see bitcoin as a choice but altcoins as well and who would not notice ETH which is the top 1 in altcoins market. |

Well, that will pull a lot of ETH away from circulation and in the markets. I think it will cause a price bump because you see PoW coins extract value from the cost of the hardware resources and computing power, while PoS forces large stakers to hodl their ETH. PoS is good if the adoption rate is consistent. |

Let's hope big whales will not dump crypto and we will not see red market again and history will repeat $1.4k ETH and $20K BTC this year. Ethereum just going to cross the $180 line then we can expect Ethereum will reach $200 this month. I doubt eth can touch $200 this month looking it's slow upward movement, only few alts including btc actually experience good rise in price for this few days, if anything i would say it can touch $180 at least ending of this month depending on how positive the market remains, but you never can tell crypto is full of surprises. |

Till now we have seen active developments from this team but now they are extending their development makes many people lose faith on ETH. |

NO doubt anytime anything could happen in crypto market like last bull that nobody expected eth $1.4k but this happened. Nobody can predict prices of crypto assets but buy at lowest price if we think that it will rise in future. Ethereum again go back to around $162, i think we have still chance to grab eth at good price. Hope this year we will see surprises. |

Don't get so hyped over the Samsung thing, it comes from an "unnamed source" but even if it's true, the quote states "Currently, we are thinking of private blockchain, though it is not yet confirmed."Also, there's no word mentioning what's the purpose of such a blockchain, are they just making it for fun to get to know how it works? I can't think of any reason a company like Samsung would need a public blockchain... maybe they could use a private blockchain to store data between their multiple branches. |

Most of the "trusted" blockchain news networks (including CoinTelegraph, CoinDesk, etc) have been publishing hundreds of such articles for the past few years, and hardly 5% of the stuff inside these (bullish) articles actually proceeded later on. The sad part is, bullish articles are usually read more than the bearish articles, and these news networks take good advantage of this bias. |
