Personally I think it the other way round; DeFi-based token being over-extended and begun selling off, that has caused Ethereum to pump in price. Although the Ether locked in DeFi is still high around 3.9 million (3% of supply), approximately $1 billion, so this may only be the beginning of the sell-off, with current surge in price being based on speculation of a DeFi sell-off, rather than caused by the actual sell-off (which would make this situation even more bullish imo!). Note that in comparison there are only 17K BTC (0.08% of supply) locked into DeFi right now, approximately $172 million. ETHBTC is also now back above it's 200 Week MA, which seems somewhat predictable.

This is why I felt Ether would rise in price recently, as a sell-off in DeFi is more likely to benefit Ether than Bitcoin based on these metrics alone (by a factor >30:1). Fortunately this isn't like ICOs in 2018 whereby Ether is raised  then dumped on the market into $fiat, but instead it's Ether that's ready to be sold back into liquid Ether (in my mind at least).

but the fact is that sales of DEFI-based tokens are quite high and I agree with you that Ether is more profitable now because yesterday's announcement resulted in an increase in prices and DEFI tokens were cashed to ether
in 2018 there was no coment because I enjoyed it and the guide was quite large

It's always satisfying to read people complain about how long it's taking for Ethereum 2.0 to be released 
Keep complaining that they are dotting the i's and crossing the t's please! I'll keep accumulating at a great discount 
The longer it takes the better imo, gives more time to accumulate and for weak handed moon boys to disappear

I'm a survivor, held ETH during that time, and never sold until it reached $280. I'm planning to hold it a little longer, waiting for better pricing once 2.0 comes.

I bought my ETHs when the price fell to $120 and I sweating when I saw ether fell below 95 but somehow I was able to HODL my ETHs and then it finally started moving back up. Missed BTC below 5000 but I am glad I was able to buy ETH.

It is still advisable to get bitcoin as much as you can. Before it breakouts to $10,000 it's a good hold if you have it while it's under that price.

It already ranges now at $302 via CMC and it's the breaktout we are waiting. Once make a sideways even a little in the coming days or weeks it's good to grab some bags.

It reached $1,300 during its all-time high so very likely for $1000 by next year or so.

Im expecting another ath on mainnet eth 2.0 when the supply is totally fixed, staking is really popular this days on too many coins most especially eth assets, when every eth holders want to stake Im sure price will rise in no time like the past bull run in 2017 look like eth 2.0 is more massive.

Everyone who want to participate with staking will eventually buy more as we all want to have a passive income through ETHs staking. Demand is likely to increase which can possibly make that price again to happen.

It dropped to slightly less than $100 for some minutes in March this year, Roughly 5 months ago. Someone who bought it at around $100 has now multiplied their investment by 3 times.

I do own some ETH and I am enjoying the ride
