Hello do you know when the ETH2 mainnet version will be released? Finally ETH is still useful since 80% will be blocked to obtain rewards?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

When Ethereum switches to PoS, will the coin supply be capped (no new Ether will be generated anymore) or will new Ether continue to be generated with each new block as usual? If the former is true, then the price should explode if PoS works as planned, so there are no security problems or similar issues. Or am I missing something?
The Cap issue? Can we all vote about the supply? It will add more trust to the ethereum foundation. However, a price boost will occur because hodler are racing to stake ETH. The first seat was taken, adding some eth in their crypto chamber and watching the final testnet closely. At least, V2 will eliminate scalability issues. Cap issue is a GREAT point!!! ETH Dominance 12% $375 Broken Now $12,000 for 32 ETH - $11,000 just yest!!!!

The price can rise for several common reasons: 1. Increase in demand for a coin 2. Reduction in the number of coins in circulation "1.Ethereum 2 phase 0; 2.EIP-1559; 3.The end of mining; and 4.Ethereum 2 phase 2." https://www.attestant.io/posts/charting-ethereum-issuance/And after phase 2 we can see 1 and 2 reason, but it’s very difficult to say how long Phase 2 will start. A very active movement began on the Ethereum. https://medalla.launchpad.ethereum.org/The required number of validators has been collected, and nothing prevents us from starting phase 0 after the official testnet. https://medalla.launchpad.ethereum.org/overview"Transfers between validators are disabled until at least phase 1. Validators will have to wait until phase 2 (around two years) to be able to withdraw to a specific shard." "I understand that I CAN NOT TRANSFER my staked GöETH until at least phase 1, and I CAN NOT WITHDRAW until phase 2." "Long-term commitment "With transfers disabled until at least phase 1, there’s no way for a validator to voluntarily exit and then restart later. This means validators need to be in it for the long haul. Once I exit, I can not rejoin until at least phase 1. This is a long term commitment."

I have a feeling that Ethereum is the main cryptocurrency today and not Bitcoin? Is it possible that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin in capitalization? Has this ever happened?

Not possible I think Bitcoin will always be the main currency. ETH was doing good breaking past 400 so quickly but, as soon as BTC got dumped (about $1000) ETH too fell sharply with bitcoin.

Agreed with you BTC is the king of the cryptocurrency world and it will remain on the top position always. No doubt ETH is a good project and it provide the chance for so many people to get started into blockchain space and this platform is also very important hopefully it will get succeed to keep maintain the 2nd place for long time even there so many competitors now.

So, will there be a limit to the maximum amount of coins (cap of supply) or not? Ethereum is the father of smart contracts platform it make the its way with unique approach and open the door of opportunities for so many projects to dive in into this space and built their empire on the top of the its blockchain. I believe it will keep continue and take advantage to be the pioneer into this ecosystem.
This might be right, but working an Ethereum also costs a lot of fees. This is often the reason why companies that have previously experimented with Ethereum switch to other platforms. The issues of fees and scalability will determine the success or failure of Ethereum.

With eth 2.0 fees for transaction should be less i think

Hey guys , its been a while hope your all doing well. Thought id share this if anyone is into nodes.
If your interested in setting up a Ethereum node just now , you can on ANKR. along with 50+ other projects. 100% recommend anyone interested in nodes they should login to ANKR website for one click node set-up. Also ANKR is working closely with ETH team to bring ETH2.0 nodes to everyone in a cheap, simple setup and fully decentralized manner.

Yay the hype is really high for this big moment the whole community waiting for this impatiently to become true. I hope this will happen smoothly according to the schedule and this release will push the ongoing altcoins rally to the next level. ETH is leading the altseason this time with DEFI craze.

I also read this one few weeks ago but it is old trick to get attention for any project by advertising in the main thread.

Have you looked at the gas prices? It's crazy! Now imagine if we replicate that bull run where ETH almost made to $1,500. I am just so eager to see ETH 2.0 mainly because of fees.

Maybe this guy want to bump this thread even it old news or he didn't check this carefully. I also read this one few weeks ago but it is old trick to get attention for any project by advertising in the main thread. Or maybe this guy wants to tell you that ETH2.0 is POS, so prepare for staking. Maybe this guy has alot of ETH and has waited for POS for years.....(page 229 ,#4571) The news is only a few weeks old, but its coming to life now. How will you set up your node for staking? Can noobs stake ETH2.0? https://medium.com/ankr-network/how-ethereum-2-0-will-revolutionize-the-market-with-ankr-on-top-d00124c6586bANKR is going to become the backbone for ETH2.0. Almost every new high throughput 3.0 Blockchain will use various forms of sharding. Sharding is done amongst nodes...more nodes=more shards. ETH 2.0 needs alot of nodes. With Ankr, anyone can successfully deploy thousands nodes in less than 30 minutes - nearly 100 times faster than before Now people pay alot of money to services such as AWS,Digital ocean and others...but there is a few issues with this... 1- your nodes can become centralised if everyone is using AWS = not good. 2 The cost to run is expensive. 3- It can be complicated to set up a node ANKR solves all these problems and more. 1 - ANKR uses a decentralized system, so no single point of failure or centralization. 2 - ANKR is more than 60% cheaper to run a node with the same setting/options as the competition. 3 - ANKR is working directly with the dev teams and have created one click node setup, making it easier for everyone to have a node.
