I think with a little bit of time things will become more stable, until then people really need to stop complaining or simply sell up and move on. So much complaining about gas, people need to be relaxed. Let thing thing settle down a bit then see what happens, having stable low fees will definitely become regular and normal again.
I agree 100% Things will be fine. Gas high? Yes Overreacting? Most definitely Growing pains Could be worse problems to have.....😂

Ethereum developers are turning their focus back to the current version of the network after months of focus on the upcoming Ethereum 2.0 release to address exponential fee growth. https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-fees-soaring-congestion-developers-buterinLooks like whatever they are doing is working because the fees dropped significantly.

Yes people are overreacting when it simply is not warranted, there seems to be a degree of fearmongering more than anything else. I think with a little bit of time things will become more stable, until then people really need to stop complaining or simply sell up and move on. So much complaining about gas, people need to be relaxed. Let thing thing settle down a bit then see what happens, having stable low fees will definitely become regular and normal again.

Eth is not meant to be a mode of payment. It is basically a smart contract platform currency. High gas fee is not any hinderence in its growth

I completely agree, but which project now fits the payment criteria? There are tons of projects that will fit the payment criteria but, sadly none of them has a community and acceptance as big as Ethereum the only exception would be bitcoin but sadly sometimes confirmation can be huge.

Stable payments. Low pool fee. Excellent design. Extended statistics. Best mining pools since 2017. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We present our Solo Mining Pool for EthereumTry here • https://eth.solopool.org/Pool Features- The block reward goes to the miner who found it.
- We pay full reward (block reward + tx fee + extra).
- Full stats with charts, rewards and earnings.
- Low and transparent pool fee.
- Free Telegram bot (notifications of new blocks and rigs status).
- Stable payments every 60 minutes.
- Fully compatible with MiningRigRentals.
- Fully compatible with NiceHash.
- Fast and stable servers with DDOS protection and great ping.
Try solo mining! Solo mining Ethereum isn't for everyone to say the least. If you only have say 6 gpu's or less i'd say don't even bother, you would be wasting your hashpower, as it would take an enormous amount of time to find even a single block, you might even never find one. Try pool mining instead, you'll get you fair share of what you hash.

Not possible I think Bitcoin will always be the main currency. ETH was doing good breaking past 400 so quickly but, as soon as BTC got dumped (about $1000) ETH too fell sharply with bitcoin.
Of course, Bitcoin will still have to keep its leading position. But sooner or later, it will be replaced by a new technological coin that will topple Bitcoin from the pedestal. Perhaps it will be Ethereum, or perhaps a completely new coin.

The fee on Ethereum network (average fee) is lower today. If you have intention to sell your Ethereum (I guess not because it is cheap now) or your ERC20 tokens with coming rallies, today is a good day for you to consider moving them. Tx Calculator shows the average fee is 88 Gwei. 4 days ago, on 3 September 2020, it was 372 Gwei.To make sure that the Gwei you use will satisfy your need on speed of transaction, you can check the % of transactions are accepted by network in last 200 blocks at Tx Pool Report. To get cheap and acceptable transaction waiting time, you need to plan your movements.

But, BTC and ETH price crash ruined the price I was getting for those tokens lol.

It didn't happen for the last 12 years, so why will it happen at all? The creator of Bitcoin is anonymous and there is no individual or a group of people behind the blockchain and controlling the supply. On the other hand every other crypto project no matter what promisses, is backed up by one individual and his friends. Sooner or later he will leave the project or simply die, leaving his project to a sudden or slow death. Everything in defi is pump and dump tokens. It looks attractive to the n00bs for quick profit, but they don't realize that before cashing out their profits they will be gone, replaced by huge losses. One of the leading tokens in defi - Sushi is the last example. For few days it gained a lot, then it's creator cashed out, leaving in dust and ashes all n00bs lured by the pump. This was the fate of bcash and it's clones whose creators were delusional that they will flip Bitcoin. Ver, Wu, CW, the list is endless. If you want to make money, you need to learn how to hodl Bitcoin for an extended period - 5, 10 years and more if necessary. The basics are solid and the risk is even lower than investing in stocks or fiat, which will lose their value due to inflation. The fast profit is for gamblers, with guaranteed loss in the end.

It took that long? I was able to experience this but not this time but, those all time high days. I refrain to transact with high fees and congested network. I understand that feeling when you have sent during the price was high and received or confirmed when it's lower.
