I updated my copy of poclbm and haven't gotten any stales since, so I guess that was the problem. Thanks.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

can you consider adding support for Ufasoft's CPU Miner? your site says it supports it, but i'm getting "the operation timed out" errors.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Hey, I like the new json user stats thing but there are a few errors. First there should be a comma before "Pool" and there is an extra comma at the end.

This may have been addressed, But I don't feel like looking for it. I was using the pool to great effect when I decided to start using your miner to compare the results. Unfortunately, your miner dropped my hash rate dramatically. I was getting 245 Mhash/s with poclbm-gui, now I am getting about .4 Mhash/s with your miner. What is the problem? I am running XP 32 with a 5830 card.

try like mine:

start /DC:\bitcoin\poc poclbm-mod.exe -d 1 -v -w 128 -f 10 --host=bitcoinpool.com --port=8334 --user= --pass=

replace the C:\bitcoin\poc by the directory where poclbm-mod.exe is

-d 0 means CPU in most cases, use -d 1

It works. I'm running it on my laptop without issue.

If it's giving "the operation timed out", it's not an incompatibility issue. How are you starting it?

Yeah, I had a feeling it was going from my CPU. I just didn't know how to change it. That worked, thank you. BTC sent.

I don't expect it, but I welcome it if that is your choice Cheesy I'm not used to being tipped for my help, especially trivial answers like these. In my home forum, techpowerup, I helped users literally thousands of times without even expecting a thanks, as I got that maybe 1 out of 3 times :p

Also I think there may be an output bug when currentRound is at minute 0.
But it may be a bug in my code; I didn't log any json that I got from you.

Let me know if you track it down. I'll see if I can fix it on my side if the bug doesn't reside in your code.

I'd also like to compliment the miner, as initially I am finding that it is in fact more efficient.

Yeah, when minute is 0:
"Pool":{"currentRound":"09h 25s","currentSpeed":"12.21 Ghash/s"}

Minutes doesn't appear.

"Pool":{"currentRound":"09h 25s","currentSpeed":"12.21 Ghash/s"}

Minutes doesn't appear.

That's intentional, as it matches the current display, but I will set it to display 0m.
