Some companies extend the ICO because they can not collect the soft-cap on time. This is not an attribute of fraud, but the indicator that the product is likely to be not in demand.

Hi there! I participating in several bounty campaign. In 4 out of 5 campaign deadline was extended. In one be extend for a month, in another - for 2, in a third - for an indefinite period. Say please, this is normal or it is attribute of scam?
Thank!

Isnt it obvious, they just havent reached their ICO goal and they need to raise more money thus they extend the marketing campaign as well.
The decent ones do add more tokens to bounty pool after they extend it.

I have noticed the complete opposite that campaigns end much sooner then ICO ends.

Campaign after ICO of such coin or project had a set goal or target market, yes, some campaign may always extend the period for such marketing strategy to attained the full market cap. Yes, some are also posted as campaign scam, so we need to be more careful in joining specific campaign. Let just be patient the reward will come soon if not today.

Mostly bounties take time to summarize the results of the ICO, well we can all presume that bounties are always gonna happen. Companies will take that open time for people to submit their obligations. It could also be done because the ICO earnings became more than their hard cap so they might consider to add bonus for the participants. Don't assume it is a scam if you already joined it with a proper observation.

An attribution can be scam but it depends on many factors meanwhile. I mean sometimes many ICO's dont even reach the soft cap for their sales and thus they have to eventually go for extending the deadlines so that they can at least reach that point or try to reach the hard cap by adding more advertising strategies.

Bounties are the prime source of marketing when ICO is newly formed, so by extending the deadlines more exposure can be given to them and possibly more people will watch out the presence.

But thats just my guessing and many times scammers also do that just to have more money and strategies to close down everything.

This is just normal, because they havent meet the soft cap or the hard cap of there project. If they dont meet with that, they might cancel there project, so to be avoid such circumstances they extend there ICO.

Always worry, it depends on you to go further for the company or not. In most cases, the organizers believe that " we will extend for another month and collect more." Others on the contrary due to the fact that they can not collect thereby hoping that they will reach the soft cap. And of course there are scammers who are only happy to extend so steal more. Cry

Not all campaign that are extended are attributes of scam, but for every extension of campaign i thinks it's for a reason, but good communication to the bounty hunters is the key. sometimes campaign are extended when soft cap is not reached or other better reasons such as added more money (investment) into the bounty program. but then for every extension, the campaign manager should reach out the bounty hunters early enough rather than keeping them in the dark.

Extend the deadline is not speak about scam project. But this is not fair in relation to bounty participant.
It will be right is increase bounty pool.

Now many projects seem hard even for reaching their softcap. Too many ICO, too many ideas.
investors don't have infinite money, billions capital already taken by other promising and worthless ICO in last years. ICO will always face this problem unless government come in or they advertise in billboard or tv

Some bounties of the campaign are prolonged because the organizers do not always get the desired result during period of the campaign.

because usually the bounty has not yet reach the hardcap of their coin so they extend it also there are bounties that has been ended too early because also the hardcap was reach it is depends on the market movement of the coin.

It is not an easy time for ICO in 2018. With lots of bad publicity and fuds, many struggling to meet their funding on time. The sheer numbers of them extending are really extraordinary. Not too mention, more failed and call off thier token sale due to lack of interests.

Yet I am sure things will only gets better as Bitcoin and crypto recovering now.

It is perfectly normal in my opinion. Bounty has now becoming larger in terms of participant amount, and ICOs are now being regulated by most of the countries, plus there are way too many people trying to cheat a bounty campaign.

With high profit comes high risk.

Usually bounty company is prolonged due to the fact that they did not collect a soft cap. And this is not necessarily an attribute of fraud. But this suggests that the company is not particularly interesting to investors. Sometimes this happens because of weak marketing.

In fact, this does not always mean that the bounty campaign is a scam because I myself had it happen that the campaign was prolonged, and then paid more for it.

its normal and do happen in ico sometimes. They extend the ico in hope that market are recovering or in some cases there is regulation adaptation that have to be fulfill.  I do believe there a reasons behind every extended ico, and they do it for a better result.

there have been a lot of ICOs that have extended lately.
that has of course also affected the bounty campaigners.
this was done to have longer time to earn money and advertise  Wink

I think that the campaigns that conduct the Bounty campaign expect a certain number of participants. But when they are not enough, they extend the timing of the campaign.

I am more looking towards their sales that have not hit the maximum target, the small number of campaign participants should make them less in terms of payments and their purpose only to increase promotion for active investors, with the current trend that is not balanced with the amount of ICO that appears to result many projects lost their target investors and eventually they chose to extend their ICO.
