Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH??

Since most of the alt coins are traded with BTC or ETH. SO I think altcoins prie are dependent on the price of this two.
What is your opinion please share.

Altcoin price depends only about bitcoin. Ethereum has no effect on other altocoins because its price depends also on bitcoin, but prices not changing only by bitcoin, there is more different aspects which can increase or decrease price individual coins

Altcoins price depends only to some extent on Bitcoin and Ethereum. Also, you have to take into consideration volume in USD. It is better not to ground you decision based on correlations but strictly follow technical partners and support/resistance levels!

This is absolutely correct because the current altcoins use BTC and ETH technology to create their own Token. Therefore the BTC and ETH rates will determine the entire exchange rate of the market. So if you do not have much trade experience then invest in BTC and ETH instead of altcoins.

The whole Altcoins market depends on BTC/USD pairs.
A sharp drop in BTC price affects the Altcoins even if fundamentals favor the Altcoin, it still struggles to rise due to the sharp decline in BTC / USD pairs.

It's more about bitcoin than ethereum but i do think ETH has an influence that is not well talked about. Many ICOs require the investor to deposit in ETH, and these ICOs do need to cash out to pay for physical goods. When eth falls, the whole market mood changes so yes eth can turn a market bearish if a big ICO cashes out.

I think the price of altcoin prices depends on bitcoin, that's obvious. I take the example when bitcoin prices down either because of bad news or dumper made by big players, all altcoin also come down including Ethereum. Then when Ethereum goes down, does the bitcoin also go down? No. That's why I say that bitcoin greatly affects all types of altcoin. Yes, although we know that Ethereum technology is more modern and technically advanced than bitcoin.

That's the fact in the crypto market.

Bitcoin has the highest volume so every altcoin knows where to place and depend to. However, ETH is also depending on bitcoin and this hasn't mentioned by the others.

I know the price of altcoin depends on bitcoin because I see if bitcoin decreases altcoin price also decreases because altcoin follows its movement then from altcoin depends on BTC because if depends on ethereum i think is not good

I think, mostly Bitcoin or BTC is the main driver here. If the price of the Bitcoins change, it effects almost every other altcoins, especially ETH. So, when BTC have a fall ETH also shows a similar pattern and they drag other Altcoins with them.

Everything depends on the founder of the whole system, bitcoin. Ether is also subject to this and has not directly become independent yet. Although it would be much more interesting to see exactly the situation opposite to the current one.

Thus altcoin many of which the majority are always abreast of the bitcoin either goes up or down. the many years of trust in this case and there is no altcoin that is able to stand on its own without guidance on bitcoin. but surely the more crypto appeared recently are certainly expected to have different systems.

At the moment yes Altcoins are depending on Bitcoin but soon that will change when the Flippenning occurs,  Altcoins will start to get valued independenlty of Bitcoin and we will begin to see the biggest explosion of the Cryptocurrency market.

Everygiven Altcoin should depend on individual utility, value, development and growth. But as it is right now, cryptocurrency and altcoin in particular are not there yet, bitcoin is stiil the sky daddy carrying all other cryptos!

yes, I agree with you that all altcoin depends on Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the parent of all coins so everything is in Bitcoin control, if BTC down altcoin also goes down and vice versa.

i don't know exatcly why, but if we see what happen on the market, i think altcoin price is depend on BTC price

certainly, because bitcoin becomes the core of altcoin so that the price of altcoin is based on bitcoin. the ETH price movement also follows the growth of bitcoin prices. if you want to invest in the safest place I think the best place is bitcoin.
