yeah, another bug when trying to create another player

blockhain deleted / reloaded, wallet 1.09 confirmed and yet
"Error: CheckTransaction failed for transaction created by nameFirstUpdateCreateTx"

so let's sum up, first my hundreds HUC vanished coz I was on the "wrong" chain(s), then I started from 0 again this morning, got 99% orphans, finally got 1 coin + a dime to be able to enter the game, was killed instantly, remined to get another coin among the orphans pile, got it, and can't even use it to create another player even if my wallet is > 1.0005 . Please shoot me (IRL)

What does it mean "run update"?

Run the updated client? Cause i extract it in a new folder and after opening it, i can see the same old: "WARNING: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade." That was appearing on the old one ...
And ofc Sync stuck at 14hrs behind

Go to C:\Users\*YOURUSER*\AppData\Roaming\Huntercoin and delete everything except wallet.dat and hunter.conf .. close the client, reinstall client with the new file on post #1 and it should work.

Bizarre, but my backup wallet.dat seemed to have been the cause of all my troubles.
I've deleted the entire lot and started completely from fresh, which seems to be working ok now.

New wallet address, but nevermind, I did not have any coins so no big deal.


Seems to be working, suggest if anyone else having problems with sync/crash/etc just delete everything and start again.

Seems to be (partially) working!
Now is stuck on "Synchronizing with network... 0 hours behind" but if i put my mouse over it says:
"Catching up
4839 of 10802 (estimated) blocks of transaction history."

Select more than one hunter then press it. Every move costs you money.
Assuming that's what you mean..hard to understand.

Seems to be working now for me, except not mining or being incredibly slow on a CPU. Taking a lot of resources too.
I'll leave it running and see if it manages a coin eventually. Wish I hadn't given my little ASIC away now lol

So, I am trying again this morning. While the sync issues seem fixed, most of the same problems persist:

- I've "mined" hundreds of coins, just to see them disappear again. Edit: this happens regardless of using the wallet or huntercoind.exe to mine.
- CPU/Drive usage is unacceptable. Same issues happen for me while using huntercoind.exe for mining as well. Still get random freezes, crashing even while the wallet is sync'ed
- The debug log is huge. I have a 6MB log after just a little mining. I went and compared to another coin I solo'd for a week and that log is under 4MB.

Next Steps:

Devs, you have to pull the plug on this version of the launch. There are problems beyond simple patches I think. If it were me i'd:

- Announce a halt alongside a roadmap to relaunch
- Figure out how to optimize the client (maybe you need to split into multiple versions)
- Take this opportunity to get feedback on the game. If you do decide to halt this coin, this is a great opportunity to get some feedback on the "fun" factor of the game. People need to want to play this for it all to succeed. I have no idea on the fun factor as I wasted all my time just trying to get a wallet to run.

I think most people here see that this coin can be something special, but in it's current form small patches aren't going to resolve the issues.

I know some people are able to mine/play this, but you can also address this too in the next version of the launch by simply increasing the pre-mine and allowing people to exchange the old coins for new ones.

Finally, this needs to be tested under real mining/playing load. Before you try to roll it out again, ask us to help test it. I know i'd be happy to donate my rigs time for a day or so to help troubleshoot for no reward, but only if there is a clear roadmap to success here.

wow, I brought back my 200+ HUC to the spawn area, got the game reward (184.36 coins)... which translated to 0
is this another bug / most rewards end up orphans as mining ??
