Reason we pay taxes and why we should

For me the reason is obvious,  I am the citizen of my country I live under the government law system, and so I am forced by law of my country to pay taxes, so simple and clear.

It is just a simple answer, if we do this way, government will be more and more powerful. We cant just obey them, it is not always be forced. We want good leader, for we could have a good government. Living in good government can make our own life good.

yes, you are right, I agree with you that we live in a country with the rules of paying taxes as stipulated in the regulations. the tax will also return to us, we will feel the result itself like the development and arrangement of each region.

Well taxes is really important in our country without it we cant built the infrastructure we are planning to built..  And also because of this taxes why our country developed... Because government used this fund to create a project thats why it is really important but it happened that sometimes our government didnt really used it in our country but for there own good...  Well it is because of corruption...  If it is gone well our taxes will become safe...

I am not paying taxes because I don't want. You shouldn't pay taxes if you feel that its incorrect. We are not slaves of our governments, right?

Until one day the government finds out and you go to jail for it. It will be such a waste of time to be in jail if you only paid a couple of hundred dollars for the tax. And if you say that you can just bail out, that bail money is still going to the government. In the end, you still had to surrender money to the government and you even lost time because of it. Plus, you get a criminal record which is a big deal to some companies. Basically you will find it harder to get accepted in jobs a lot more than before.

He can't "create" his own country because every part of the world is already divided to different countries. Everything's under a particular government. He can't just buy a land or an island, declare that it's a new country and be his own government.

I think taxes are needed, but millionaires have to pay more, either in fiat or crypto. And that is a good list because taxes are used for defense systems and salaries for military personnel. Without it your country will be taken over by a stronger neighbor if you have useful resources

Taxes helps a lot , I have seen people frowning over about how they don't want to pay any taxes and as such.
Government ensures that if you earn over a certain amount then for sure you can contribute in the making of your country. It's only if you are able to.
Taxes helps in :

    Paying the salary of government employees
    Making of roads
    Public schools
    Parks run by the government
    Maintenance fees
    Making government hospitals
    Making high schools ... The list is endless

We all use all these services at one part of the life or other therefore we can just consider it a little payment for that .
People frown how government is corrupt , it is but not entirely if it was then you woont see new projects coming up in your town or city.

It's just our responsibility to pay taxes, we shouldn't run from it because it will more or so be used for everyone out there in your country , you are indirectly helping others too through paying them , the less advantageous ones.

Also one might say government can print all the money they need , but that's not the case ..the more money a government prints the lower the value of their currency gets which genrally have adverse effects in many sectors.

The reason why we pay taxes and why we should is to use to make hospital for our health services, and upgrade our law of enforcement to protect us to become safe and to make roads and train for faster transportation and having benefits in government and help others to go in school for free.

Taxation is theft. "But who will build the roads" argument is really old and dumb, people are not some stupid monkeys who can't figure out things if no one guides them, there's nothing that can not be done privately and through voluntary cooperation (which is the same as privately). Roads, military, science and so on - all of it can and is done privately around the world. Government is exactly why Bitcoin was invented - you can't trust people with power and believe that they will do as they've promised, and even well-meaning leaders do stupid mistakes that cost billions. Just like Bitcoin have decentralized economy, some day people will decentralize power to the point when every individual will be independent from others.

A lot of people are still working for jobs related to the goverment, therefore getting paid by the goverment. Those money come from our taxes. I don't know what percentage of jobs nowadays are government based jobs, but i bet there is a lot of them.
Here is Australia, the tax is also as high as the US, but I am happy to pay because i know it will benefit my family and my future.

I am sure that if you pay taxes for the developments you mentioned using paper currency I think that's true but if you pay taxes to government using digital currency cryptocurrency like bitcoin is wrong because the government should not be able to control bitcoin.

It is true that the reason why we pay our taxes is endless but some might say that this list is different for every country that has another type of way on running its government. In our country, it is being planned to give Senior Citizens more pension which is actually good. They are also considering giving Schools and Universities more chance of developing their environment in terms of teaching the Children but the Children are wasting it. They also implemented increased tax when you are buying Cigarettes or Liquor to make them stop their bad habits.

I've read a topic here recently and that is specifically about taxing of the government. I have never seen a person that is as naive and ignorant as him/her. He/she proudly state that "why should these group people called "the government" forcefully tax people, just mind their own business, and if we don't want to pay tax then they can't do anything about it" - of some sort. If he/she could only realize what's the worth of paying taxes, he/she would've been ashamed of him/herself for being naive and ignorant.

I agree that the country is going to fund  itself from the taxes its citizens pay, but when how much you pay to the government, its very unfair.
You have taxes deducted right from your salary, you pay a tax when you register your vehicle, you pay tolls, you pay tax on the products you purchase in a store, and I can go on and on and on. But that is not the biggest problem. When you see what you get back, you start to wonder. You get polluted cities, polluted rivers, seas, oceans, you get unresolved crimes, unfixed roads, and streets etc. This is the moment when you realize that the government fails you, and you start tax evasion. I don't say every country has that problem, but, a lot of them do.

As said OP, government doing many useful things for people on money, what they getting from taxes. Just because of taxes, we have free medicine and free education, also Paying the salary of government employees and more. But the main problem, that people can't check on what their taxes going, so there would be useful to integrate blockchain in this system.

But the main problem is that how they can check their taxes because government will say that taxes are going to social development, so there are many works doing by taxes and that's why poor people are getting a lot of facilities and they are going to better life, so that's why people are happy to pay taxes.

That's why this system needs blockchain, just imagine that everyone will be able to check on what their money will go and be sure that no one will steal it. Clear and simple, and all this available online 24/7. But the main question, is government ready for that and will they support it?

To my own side i think of lack of knowledge and the effort of the Government go a long way, and Government attitudes their people, it depends on Government of different country
