This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.

According to Trace Mayer as I watched his recommendation on how to survive the falling market is to be responsible enough in yourself. Use the 4 fundamental things needed. The Bitcoin core, Armory wallet, purism laptop and I forgot the 4th one.

Although Ethereum based wallets are very cheap transaction costs. But I feel very safe using Myetherwallet and until now I haven't experienced my coin being hacked. You must use several wallet addresses to save coins. And you don't hand over the private key to everyone and save it safely.

We should know how the hacker can take our wallet, So that you can secure wallet from a hacker. Some of the methods I know how hackers take our wallet are :
1. phishing links,
Check back the website so it doesn't go into the phishing web. don't give your private key to the phising website.
2.send a malware file to your social media,
turn off auto download from your social media setting(Some social media have a congenital download). if someone unknown sent a file ,Don't download and install it. All you have to do is give the spam report.
3. don't install apps from unknown source and cannot be trusted

how hackers can protect the wallet is not important, but how better is that wallet that I expect so that hackers can not protect against our assets.

As a rule, it is best to choose reliable wallets right from the start, I prefer to have several at once, and thus I won’t lose everything in case of a hacker attack.

Make sure to check the website that you are logging on if you are using an online wallet. There are a lot of phishing site. Try to book mark the website. The best way to protect your crypto is to use a hardware wallet, so that your public key is protected.

People who cant afford a hardware wallet, the best thing they can do is to store there private keys on a piece of paper. Just take a print out on a paper of your paper wallet and dont store it anywhere online.

Not even on  a notepad file on your computer.

Now, other suggestions I can give is that if you are technically sound, move from windows to linux or mac, it reduces your chances of getting infected with a malware by a big margin.

Eventually, when you can go and buy a hardware wallet, its worth every penny.

It is really best to keep your funds on the hardware wallet. But if the user can't really afford it, he/she can use a offline paper wallet. It is good but more hassle but also next to a hardware wallet. Because in the paper wallet, you funds cannot be compromised since it is a complete offline.

For some people who don't have a lot of knowledge and experience about crypto they usually don't have a hardware wallet collection. The majority of them use ethereum based wallets. That's not wrong, and it doesn't matter. Because actually, it's also safe, everything will be safe if you can act properly and neatly. Several methods have been explained in the thread. Carelessness that you do that will make you hurt.

agree with you, maybe in the wallet hardware will be safer and more awake. if the online wallet is more careful because it can be read by others and may be exposed to fraud, all of that can happen because of increasingly sophisticated technological tools that are more careful when entering keys. if you don't understand it, you have to ask people who understand better and of course that person is reliable and trustworthy. I'm also new here so I don't really understand and that is in my opinion and according to my knowledge.

Using a wallet at a high cost will make your coins safer. But if you are not careful about your private key, I think it can be hacked. I still use Ethereum based wallets. And to save coins to be safer, I use several wallets. And save the private key properly.

Honestly, the only thing I do is just pray and hope I don't get hacked. Just kidding. I pick out online wallets that need a certain keystore file for you to access your wallet. An example of it is MEW. You need a key store file to check the balance of your wallet online. That's probably the best there is.

if copy paste the private key is the main cause in the wallet hacking action, then we can choose a wallet that allows us not to copy and paste the private key, for example metamask, where we only need to enter our password to be able to access our wallet and start doing transaction

to be able to provide very high security for your wallet to avoid hackers maybe you can by installing email verification, verification of the smartphone and verification of unique codes that are encrypted so I am sure your wallet will be super safe.

Getting a cold hard wallet is very important for anyone who keeps a coin for the long time as it's not safe to depend on exchanges or a lot of these wallets online. One has to protect his or her investments and funds.

To protect your funds from hackers, just don't have wallet, cold store your important cryptocurrency and use hot wallet in and out if your daily cryptocurrency activities. The few wallet you have, the better you are less expose and able to take care of your fund!

You can buy a separate laptop to install a wallet and store only on it your cryptocurrency. You can still store in multiple wallets just do not forget to come up with a good password for wallets.
