Investing in a ponzi is gambling as you are investing into something in which the outcome/result is unknown.

Putting money into a ponzi isn't an investment, then, is it?

It would only be classed as a legitimate gamble if you were informed prior to 'investing' that it was a ponzi and that there was a risk you would lose your money. Even then it would still need to operate transparently as a ponzi so that all participants were fully aware of the mechanisms of the 'game'.

My idea is :

(1) 60 %
--------------
Admin sold KHS between 1100 - 900 st price.(Takes short position)
.
.
Electricity problem is not correct. That idea is just for panic attack people.
.
.
Admin buying at low st price. (Long position, short position covers itself)
.
.
When cover ended electricity will come. Prices will regulate itself at some high st price..HE will sell more slowly in the future.
.
.
Mining will continue.

(2) 40 %
--------------
Admin made a mistake at electricity price calculation.
.
System shutdown for sometime. Admin will re calculate price and ROI will increase.
Khs price will regulate at new level.
.
.

Mining will continue.

PS.
Admins can delete website suddenly, why electricity problem. ? Just he can shut down it anytime he wants, ALSO he made too much server related updates, no one makes updates if his idea is quitting...

Today (11/05/2015) the electricity of our data center hosting our ASICs was shutoff halting our mining operations temporarily. According to our provider, there are irregularities in our contracts that were found during an audit.

We have our lawyers on the case looking to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

While the lawyers do their thing, our hands are tied leaving us not much to do but wait. The provider isn't breaking any laws yet, law says they have 72 hours to reestablish the energy.

Update (12/05/2015): We have decided to move the miners from DC#4 where we had the electricity issues to DC#2 where we house our old GPUs, We have already started the move and we will be mining within the next 48 hours.

Well this is probably great news for those who were confident and invested more with such low prices we got yesterday, if the reward stays the same people could even get 3x more without a single depois by only selling high and buying low, although i got just 10% more... but well it's more Cheesy

I prefer call these sites "illegal and unregolated" gambling. Legit gambling site are probability fair, so you know exactly the balance between risk and gain. Hyip/ponzis are not probability fair, but this is the part i like most! Balance between risk and gain is influenced by a lot of factors (forums, people thoughts...). What's wrong with ponzi? Ok, it's illegal, So? Try to shut down all ponzis? Some who think to be policemen (with police badge avatar lol;)), try to convince people to never put money in these sites. I'm ok with it, it's a good cause, but not all people are stupid.
I dont care if scrypt.cc has real miners or it's just a ponzi. All altcoins market is a ponzi, and there are thousands ponzi hyip sites. People do what they want with their money.

If my idea (1) is correct price will settle far far above where it drops. (may be near 1700 st )
If my idea (2) is correct price will settle between where it drops ans where panic ends. (near 900 st somewhere)

Grammar Police, dumb-ass.

Great, so you don't care that a business operates fraudulently and people place their money into what they believe to be a legitimate operation, how does this justify what scrypt.cc are doing? It doesn't.

Scrypt.cc is a criminal operation and once they are done milking the final btc from their 'customers' they will go under just like every other 'cloud mining' scam has and will do.

Unless you manufacture ASICs and operate 100% transparently with a real-time audited and demonstrably-provable hash-rate, you are never going to be able to operate a genuine cloud mining service because it cannot be done, the numbers would never add up.

WARNING!!! Check your forum URLs carefully and avoid links to phishing sites like 'thebitcointalk' 'bitcointalk.to' and 'BitcointaLLk'

I don't care. I don't trust them but I don't blame them, I rather blame people that trust them blindly.

You're grammar police (i didnt noticed), thanks for not correcting my bad english Wink.

We have just different opinions. I was just trying to say mine (almost as i did in all my posts on this forum), and explain why I will not cashout from scrypt.cc.

painful and real

ADMIN SAYS * The operation will take longer than planned to 48 hours
ADMIN SAYS * to find a healthy work 10 days

ADMIN SAYS * old former electricity costs 0.17 BRL (Brazilian currency)
ADMIN SAYS * new former electricity costs 0.29 BRL (Brazilian currency)

( %70 cost increase electrical) + operating costs + inefficiency due to transportation costs = %75-%80 LOW REWARDS

average total %70 LOW REWARDS
ROI = 165 DAYS

Do not deceive anyone !!!

0.00001300 satoshi already has big balloon
must be KHS price = 0.00000450-500 satoshi because this is not going to be profitability..!!

You're making the 10 day shit up.. I've been in the trollbox all day and the Admin said himself that the miners are on the move already and will be partially mining today. All miners turned on in 48 hours tops.
The electricity thing is on point.

You didnt mention the part where he said that the ROI period would likely increase due to price crash / higher electricity costs.

and by the way a 170% rise in the price of the electricity doesn't mean a 70% decrease in rewards !!!
We don't know the ratio between the consumption+maintenance fee vs the reward of the hashrate.

Exemple: if 1.0 ghash/s brings in 1btc per hour but cost only 0.05btc to operate
a 170% increase means a 0,085btc to operate so far from a 70% decrease. (abstract numbers here)
