Check https://ric.suprnova.cc and have a look at Getting Started for info how to mine :-)

Windows 7 is obsolete and unsupported by Microsoft since 5 years already...
Bitcoin Core, Riecoin Core is based on, has dropped support for Windows 8.1 and older in their code.

Please upgrade to Windows 11 or switch to Linux...
Even a Windows 10 1507 from 10 years ago would be enough, and this OS works well on machines from 18 years ago like Core 2 Duos or even some Pentium 4s.
Debian 12 x64 will work on computers as old as the original Athlon 64s from 2003...

PnMe, good morning, good afternoon and good evening, I'm new here and I would like to know how to mine Riecoin using the CPU and how many cores I need to have to mine this currency.

I bought some riecoin and gapcoin coins, they are very good projects from the research I did, and I would like to learn how to mine this riecoin coin, gapcoin I am already mining with cpu and also buying these two coins, but I would like to learn how to mine riecoin

Riecoin Listed on Spectrade

In the wake of the XeggeX security breach, we have been reminded that any such services can unexpectedly fail at any time and cause important losses. This prompts us to look for fundamentally different alternatives.

One of them is Spectrade, and we are glad to announce that Riecoin has been listed there.

Spectrade is a Decentralized Exchange (DEX), meaning in particular that there is not some centralized entity holding everyone's funds and particularly susceptible to be targeted by hackers. Instead, users are the ones in control of their own holdings, and use the platform to conveniently trade them via smart contracts securely performing the swap of assets. Should the platform shut down for any reason, users would be able to retrieve their funds themselves.

The platform is still in early development with some quirks, but it can pretty much be used in the same fashion as a regular centralized exchange. Spectra Cash has some ambitious plans, and we wish them much success so they also become a reliable and practical place for Riecoin trading.

Please come support them and Riecoin traders by bringing some liquidity to the markets!

Pairs: RIC/BTC, RIC/USDT (Polygon), RIC/LTC

Interested in running a full node, but even with the 70% bootstrap, my syncing loops between 70-90% completion.  Sad

What 70% Bootstrap are you talking about?

The Bootstrap provided on Riecoin.xyz would put you over 99%...

Alternatively you can try Riecoin Core 2503.1 (Dev Version), it will sync reasonably quickly without Bootstrap.
Newer Versions from now on will no longer need a Bootstrap.

2025-05-16: Now implemented in the stable 2505 Version.

Riecoin Listed on NonKyc.io, Riecoin Core 2507 Released (Mandatory Update!)

Surprise! You can now trade RIC on NonKyc.io, an exchange that has constantly been rising and with a high potential to become Tier 1!

  • Available Pairs: RIC/BTC, RIC/USDT
  • ⚠️Minimum Deposit: ~120 RIC or about $1 worth of RIC (be sure to not send too small amounts from mining)
  • Trading Fees: usually 0.2%
  • ⚠️Withdrawal Fees: ~120 RIC or about $1 worth of RIC
  • RIC Deposit Confirmations: 10

After the XeggeX debacle, we naturally remind you the popular saying "not your keys, not your coins". Even though bringing liquidity is much welcomed, only deposit amounts that you can afford to lose.

We want to thank the kind souls who sent some BTC to our Donation Address, these have been used to set up their required Liquidity Pools.

We are also happy to announce the release of Riecoin Core and rieMiner 2507. This version brings a major and practical way to find new Prime Constellations records directly via Riecoin Mining as it is now possible to add an offset to the Difficulty to look for prime numbers larger than required. This change had to be implemented as a Hard Fork, so please upgrade as soon as possible to 2507 to ensure a prompt and smooth network upgrade for everyone and allow those interested to be able to break records.

Get the latest Riecoin Core and rieMiner binaries from their respective pages and read the release notes to learn more about the changes from 2501/2505 and upgrade instructions. The upgrade from 2501/2505 is straightforward for the vast majority of Riecoin Users as promised by the previous release notes.

They are very new and still in Bêta phase, there are some quirks (and that is why I did not made yet an Official Announcement via Riecoin Channels), but I can definitively vouch for their Staff. I think that they have a lot of potential and that it was worth getting Riecoin listed there.

Notably, finally an Exchange that does not frown upon Miner Deposits, they even encourage Miners, and do not have a formal Minimum Deposit apparently (of course be reasonable and do not send Dust), much better than NonKyc for smaller Traders and Miners.

I invite everyone to try NestEx for Riecoin Trading and set up some Liquidity Pools!

Of course, as for all CEXs, only deposit amounts that you can afford to lose.
Though it seems that they have plans to actually Insure Deposits, that would sure bring some peace of mind!

Thanks bro! Kojagiri here we've been chatting on discord already rite Smiley

So in terms of deposit insurance, we are only able to cover USDT at this time. In future I think we may be able to cover USDC and other stablecoins; but I don't expect coverage for traded coins so ideally (my recommendation to everyone): If you do not _need_ your coins on the exchange for trading or LP, try to withdraw to your own core wallet. Come back and trade; then withdraw the excess.

We want our users to be safe. IF they are safe they will come back, and we will survive longer thanks to that goodwill.
