coinmarket.io

Thanks looking at that order its a bit weird the seller knows he is holding the price back. 16 btc is a lot of coin to put in a unknown
exchange. I will wait to it hits a bigger well known exchange....

Coinmarket is far from an unknown exchange.  They are on coinwarz.com even.  That sell wall is many peoples orders not just one person.

sorry i should of said unknown to me ......Coin-e is also on coinwarz.com and i been trying for 3 months to get my 5000 pxc and 8k dgc from them....

TIT coming soon..............

It looks like coinmarket just made a 50m KARM withdrawal limit.  It shouldn't matter anymore.

says the guy who was selling 2 million Karma coins the say day the coin came out......

Still have that 2M,its worth less now and isn't gonna gain value for a while, Selling at 6 satoshis on mintpal

The difficulty is so high now, and such low pool hashrates, there is no point in mining this coin now. With 1 MH i was getting about 15k per hour, now less than 50 coins per hour.
All is good now, moved on, frycoin is looking more promising

Definitely right, it won't matter anymore.  But we put the fix in though anyway to avoid other exchanges having the problem.  The fix was released this evening.  For those that have not already upgraded for the Kimoto Gravity implementation, when they do download the wallet they will also get this fix as well.  If someone already has upgraded for the Kimoto Gravity feature, and they need to do transactions with greater than 84M coins, they should download and install the latest wallet.

MANDATORY WALLET UPGRADE
NEEDS TO BE COMPLETE BY FEB 10TH 8PM

KIMOTO GRAVITY WELL
STOPS MULTIMINERS FROM LEAVING DIFF HIGH

Please spread the word!  This update needs to be done by everyone in the community.  Check the main post of this forum for directions.  Downloads are in the first post as well as here.  The community asked for this update to be done and we implemented it as fast as possible.  This will prevent multiminers from leaving the network with a high diff after they mine Karmacoin, making it more fair for everyone.  The actual algorithm will change at block 10,500 which we estimate to happen around or a little after Feb 10th.  That is why the upgrades must be completed by Feb 10th for it to be successful.

Note: If you happen to download this update after 12:30AM EST 2/10, you will also get a wallet that contains a fix which allows sending transactions of > 84M coins.

THANKS

I receive the following error when trying to update:

Unpacking karmacoin (from karmacoin-gravity-amd64.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing karmacoin-gravity-amd64.deb (--install):
trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/karmacoind', which is also in package karmacoincoin 0.8.6.2-0ubuntu
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)

Does the previous wallet need to be uninstalled before installing this? If so, do I simply replace the newly created wallet.dat file with my old one?

Just purge it. I ran into this error too Smiley Back up your wallet beforehand. I actually didn't have to back up my wallet.

We need to expose more new people to this coins. Make no mistake, this coin is happening. The whispers are starting. The ball is rolling.I have even read on reddit countless times how this coin is good. mentioned amid r/bitcoin community. That community is a tough one ,so to have it mentioned there, without mocking it, its a good thing. Who ever sells this coins low is not in for the long run.

this is how is see the future within a week:
  • Very soon with KGW implemented into the wallet and block rewards halving. once that happens it will be even harder to mine this coin, therefore it will be very difficult for some one to come just to mine it and dump it.
  • But even if the mine-n-dumper target this coin it will be harder of them to drop the coin value when they dump all the coins they mine. The will dump half as much as they are able to do now. Therefore it would not be a huge impact.
  • Because people believe in this coin, i speculate that the only people hurting the price is the mine-n-dumpers, because they keep selling at lowest price.Keeping the buy orders low because there is a lot of low sells. However, once the dumper are limited due to block reward halving there wont be so many sells all of the sudden. The tables will turn and the buyers will be greater in numbers.
  • Having more buys means more demand for the coin. this demand will start to increase the price as buyers will start outbidding each other's buying order
  • This will bring karma to 10 Satoshis. By rising back to this price, it will come back to spot light
  • hopefuly this will create a hype and people start buying in as an investments. KGW + halve block rewards will keep big pools from dumping a lot of coins. I thing it will stabilize at 15 Satoshis. Unless it goes viral, then who can predict.
