Figuratively stole the words right out of my mouth. Gold star rebuttal post from Alphi imho. The coin is obviously stuck. 2 months and only downtrend. In this days if one coin doesn`t move in such time it is going to trash. Let`s not lie to ourselves. Unfortunately the measures that have been taken didn`t work. I suggest the hashing algo change to X11. let`s vote to see what the community think. What is your opinion guys?
Don't be ridiculous. We've only been at it for 3 weeks. Have some patience. Karmacoin has been holding strong, not rising. Our coins are fairly distributed, and we have a plan. Every miner knows that the future is not in pure scrypt, but in different hashing methods. X11 is one of them. It runs smoother with lower temperatures, less power consumption and the ones who adopt it now, before the summer and asics, will only benefit. The others will miss the train with no exit to success. This is so obvious and got nothing to do with the great job that you did in the past weeks. I don`t write much here, but believe me, I have tipped for over 60 millions karms in my forums and soc nets and got no attention to miners, because everybody says that Karmacoin is just another doge, lite, etc clone. Miners are not stupid. They know. There must be some innovation on the technical side of the coin, if it is to succeed. You are all talking about the falling markets of cryptos, but this is not true. They are down only for the ones who don`t innovate. Look at the Vertcoin, Darkcoin and now even Hirocoin. On the other side I don`t see how Karmacoin will hold even to 16 litoshis. Only branding by itself won`t work, just won`t. There must be improvement on the technical side. Think about it. there is a big debate about whether asics are good or bad so it would be unwise to act rashly.. on the one hand... Bitcoin Sha256 ASICS did kill off all the GPU miners and force them onto litecoin. the net result of that huge influx of investment into Sha 256 asics was an explosion on the bitcoin price. it was only after Bitcoin exploded that Litecoin started to gain traction as people started to diversify their portfolios. so what will happen in the next few months.... will the new Scrypt asics cause a explosion in litecoin price? some people in china seem to think so since every exchange there now trades LTC. one thing of course is certain.. that is that GPU miners will be forced onto other algo coins... but does that mean that Scrypt coins other than Litecoin are doomed? if history is anything to go by then as the fiat money begins to flow into the scrypt ocean, all Scrypt based boats coins should also rise... but there is a catch... as more powerful asics hit the market it means that inevitably the Scrypt based hashing power becomes more centralized. this in turn means that the weaker scrypt based coins are vulnerable to 51% attack. we saw this in the past when TerraCoin (TRC) got 51% attacked several times by unscrupulous Sha 256 ASIC farmers (but ironically they are still around and kicking)... so I think its good to have the debate... but it is far from clear at this point whether changing the proof of work is a good thing or not. as I understand it.. Spain coin has moved from Scrypt over to Scrypt-N.. yet Aurora hasn't (I think) scrypt N is probably one of the best algos to fight against ASICs but its still unclear whether fighting against ASICs is a worthwhile excersize. and ofcourse Scrypt N is even harder on your GPUs so it can cause cards to burn out more regularly than scrypt (which is something you definitely do not want) Keccak (SHA-3) is an option that people are also talking about.. but there are already ASICS for Keccak that have been created (just not mass produced yet) Multi hash systems like X11 though they sound like a good idea may end up ultimately being futile too because Multi Hash ASICS do already exist (just not mass produced) and X11 isn't memory hard... so as you can see.. in this game there is no right or wrong answer and nothing is as it seems.... so I say we wait and see.... its fine and healthy to discuss hypothetical... but my view is, lets deal with the actual problems as they occur. in my experience its the coins with the strong and active Dev teams which survive the tumultuous times, not those with the best tech initially. for anyone who is worried about Scrypt based coins devaluing.. my advice would be to broaden your portfolio to hold as many different kinds of coins as you can. seriously who knows whats around the corner.. I sure don't. |

I sure don't. I know. The so called "boss coins" will rise. Litecoin - 100-120 dollars. Darkcoin - 20 dollars and up, Vertcoin - 30 dollars and up. So called "middle boss" coins will rise also. Dogecoin - 400 satoshi. Delaforetnoire You don`t get it. For speculative purposes it doesn`t matter how any coin worth, and that include Karmacoin. If I want to speculate and make quick profits, I will buy 400-500 million and why not 1-2 billion at 15-25 litoshis and then dump on 1 satoshi. Do the math. Guys, sometimes you are talking like it is your first coin and first mining day, and you never saw a pump and dump. |

i am mining away. because when the bitcoin get an other break soon and spikes up in prices , i want to own more coins. imagine all the new influx of investors.

On Minpal, Karmacoin is the #1 LTC market out of the 11 that are listed, including Blackcoin. (And has been for a while) You must look at it in perspective of other coins. Karmacoin is holding up nicely. |

Look doge coin black coin and other if they have a good price its because many people pump it one or more time.
If we want to see more people buying this coin we need more attractivity .
