The logo designs with more obvious elephant designs on them were the lowest-ranked designs overall in the polls. And I love elephants. I was at an elephant camp last week as a matter of fact.

We can certainly use them as part of graphics on our website (and perhaps subreddit) but we can't ignore polls for the logo design.

Another way to think of it:

Give people what we think they should have, surveys be dammed = 1/4 satoshi
Find out what people want and give it to them, continuously = 100-500 satoshi

Reddcoin also had a similar contest and poll, last month: (see here)

At the time of the logo contest they had 300 subscribers. Now's it's ~35 days later and they have over 5,000(!)

I'm not saying there's a direct correlation between the logo and the subscriber numbers, but I'm sure it helps when we listen to what people want.

Yes, if you look close enough you can see an abstract elephant.  Not near as majestic as a more realistic representation.

Coincidentally, a couple of weeks ago I recommended that we use a logo that looks like the old Pepsi logo, reminiscent of yin/yang symbolism. (Not because of meaning but because of aestheticism.)

while others wanted to go with an elephant image.

So now we have the best of both designs

But the survey is the same thing my company did when we built brands for some of the biggest names in the world, though on a smaller scale. I'm only applying my experience to add value to Karmacoin. And, again, it's a pleasure

The initial design and brand imagery (old Karmacoin logo, wallet, etc) are examples where surveying your potential market (not "groupthink" by the way, that's something different) would have been useful. We may even be where Reddcoin is now.

But better late than never, I suppose.

(funny, I'm pretty sure there are only a couple of people who think Karmacoin will make it above 20 lol)

I think karmacoin will go to 1000-2000

I rode the megacoin train (x40 increase)
I rode the quark train (x50 increase)
I rode the fedoracoin train (x125 increase)
AND now I'm riding the karmacoin train

slowly and steady. that's how we will reach that range. by the time this coin coin will start blowing up , the block rewards will be smaller. it will be easier to keepup with the market.
what killed dogecoins momentum was the premature spike. too many coins being mined daily for it so sustain the high price. Dogecoin is staying healthy now at 130ish range. We will have less coins mined daily and it shall be easier to maintain


all this will not be easy, but look at the karmacoin team. As time passes i can see this coin reach its purpose.

We'll be back, we were essentially a victim of the wandering mining pool who mined it faster than there were buyers and then dumped and moved on to the next coin.  We can't blame them, but the price went way too high too quick for the eventual 92B coins.

I think we will be at 10 Satoshi by summer.  

BTW, we have the tenth most coins on coinmarketcap.com.  We were adding 1B a day for first month and of course has slowed to about 1B a week.

I think it's good to do that now and in the coming months working in the marketing and projects.
