Well I guess before the tournament starts which is Friday, though there's nothing stopping you from paying during the tournament like a couple did last season, but this will obviously put you at a disadvantage if you miss rounds.

BTC sent.  And wow I didn't realize that the league is gonna start next week...  That was fast, but not too much excitement on the transfer window this year (for me at least).  I guess some clubs are waiting til the last minute, like Daniel Levy of the Spurs as usual.  A curious move.

Spurs are moving into that new stadium which has obviously cost a lot of money to build. Maybe they don’t have much or any to spend.

It's the same sort of game as last time, only the points have changed slightly. I'll probably set up a free to play one for the fantasy league and see how that goes. I'm not sure I'll even stick with it though. Depends how much work it is. I tried signing up for the Premier League site yesterday but it just wasn't processing for some reason.

I'll probably send everyone who has paid the details on how to join the league in Monday.

I don't and I'll likely be changing that. It's one of the paid features to remove others from seeing your scores, but it's only £3. I don't mind people seeing my picks after kick off but people can cheat if they see them in advance or it will definitely influence other's choices even if subliminally. If you're in first place you could just copy the second place's choice and they'll never catch up. Happened to a mate of mine who used to do Fantasy football and it ruined it for him.

I can only see others' predictions after I've locked in my own picks. Is it different in private leagues? As you say, seeing others' picks before you choose your own ruins the entire point of the game - glad you can remove it.

As much as I enjoy Fantasy Football, I don't want to give up my anonymity by joining the league, and I definitely don't want to run two teams, so I'll give that one a miss. Thanks though.

hmm actually the main reason I joined the pool in first place is to see who is doing good and follow some of the guys' plays  but yeah got your point
I don't care much about the prize here since my goal is to profit betting , but yeah I guess some people won't share their plays and analysis because of the leaderboard

This. Maybe we can wait for the first few weeks to pass and check if it is true. There is no problem in seeing other people picks after yours are locked. It worked like this in the past.

You can probably pay at the later date if it is necessary. i don't believe anybody will be copying results in the beginning of our pool

I don't know. You haven't joined our league yet though, right? Once you lock in your prediction you can't change them at all? If they only show after you've locked them and can't change your own scores then that's probably fine.

The deadline to change it is Saturday 25 Aug 12:30, so it'll have to be done by then if so.

Would definitely be good if we can remove the option to see others predictions. That makes a joke of the whole pool if people are able to do that.

I don't know. You haven't joined our league yet though, right? Once you lock in your prediction you can't change them at all? If they only show after you've locked them and can't change your own scores then that's probably fine.

That's correct. I joined a random public league just to get a feel for things. Trying to view other predictions prior to making my own was met with an error message. After I had locked in my own picks and they were no longer editable, I could see "Community Stats", which is a list of scores with what percentage of people had picked each scoreline.

Just to clarify and confirm, yes, you can choose to lock your picks (optional). Doing so will let you see other people's picks, but you can't change yours anyway, so I see no problem in this at all. Since you choose to see if you want, and only those who lock picks can see each other's picks. I've actually put in 3 weeks' worth of picks, but it seems you can put everything in for the entire weeks ahead so would recommend doing this now, so even if you miss your picks, they're there for changing any time. You get 15 "free picks" if you forget too, so even if matches are postponed or changed, you're well covered.

Just do it. Once league (pool in SuperBru) is created we can join it. Don't go join 10 though, you can only join 10 at a time.

The site has been running a fair while so I'm sure it's one of the most reliable. The BBC site was just a one time thing it seems and there was some problems with the scoring towards the end so I would much rather prefer reliability over usability, but the superbru site seems just as good maybe even better with the consolation point for a near miss. They also give prizes out like SuperSix but the chances of winning are astronomical. As they say you got to be in it to win it though haha.
