Maybe if Bournemouth and Arsenal hadn’t gotten red cards, the results would have been different. Most of us chose Arsenal and Bournemouth to win today.
If MLS did not take that red, it is a definite goal for Kudus and West Ham go 2 goals clear, I do not see us getting back from that with the way the team was playing. It was a deserved win for West Ham and a clear indication that we are not in a title race but a top four race. - Jay -

Well. I expected so much more from Arsenal, even if I wanted them to drop points. I picked them to draw in the pool, but didn't expect them to actually lose their heads all over again like the pre-Arteta days.
Same here I cant believe they lost against West Ham that is in poor form on bottom part of table. Not very good result with my Superbru predictions, only 4.5 point and 4 wrong predictions. I was expecting draw between Everton and Man United, now lets see what Man City can do against Liverpool

Odds were too low for me to take so I managed to skip that one when betting but then I got hit by Bournemouth red card and them loosing the points. They were my most secure pick yesterday, were playing in scintillating form last few weeks.

Massive game for Liverpool today, a win would put us 11 points clear which would seem unassailable at this point of the season. I actually don’t think we will win though, I have a feeling Man City will take points off us. I would be happy with a draw now though after Arsenal lost yesterday.
I must admit, it is much better being in a title race with this Arsenal team than with peak Man City 2018-2024. Klopp must be thinking where the hell was this Man City team during his time as manager of Liverpool.

13 matches remaining 8 points mean title race is ended Arsenal defeat against West Ham at home is ended their chances no other having consistency to compete with leaders for me this year's title is almost Liverpool's. But they needed to be calm and now give their best for having as many points they can take with Champions League could be good boost for them in this season.

Newcastle taking Forest to the cleaners today. Same here I cant believe they lost against West Ham that is in poor form on bottom part of table. They were my most secure pick yesterday, were playing in scintillating form last few weeks. Yeah, I thought taking the draw in Superbru would get me ahead. I knew Arsenal have a striker problem but this was West Ham! Of all the ties in this gameweek, Bournemouth was also the one I felt most comfortable about, followed actually by Everton but credit to Amorim he made the second half unrecognisable. Massive game for Liverpool today, a win would put us 11 points clear which would seem unassailable at this point of the season. Yeah, big game, but I'm gunning for a comfortable scoreline (if not a comfortable game!). The same thought ran through my mind about Klopp! But I think he will appreciate appearing magnanimous now -- leaving Slot a team so finely poised to tweak. All Slot needed to do was hone and adjust, he will now have Klopp's headache of rebuilding because even if TAA, VVD, and Mo stay, it buys him a couple of seasons to unearth their successors.

City starting 3 of their January signings today. Looking back at their signings I really do not see how any of them were expected to save their season, seemed more like signings for the future and one they did not have to make in January when players are overpriced.
I fully expect (even though I hope it does not happen) Liverpool to dictate this game and possibly get all 3 points. City have had flashes of brilliance, but they have been few and far between. Exiting so early from Europe should also have a psychological effect. Good fight back from forest, even though it may not be enough.

City was clueless without Haaland, you could see they were searching for a target man the whole game. With Foden out of form, KDB clearly in a downwards spiral and without Haaland and Rodri, it's no surprise that it looked routinely done in most periods of the game for LFC.
Huge, huge win for us, one hand on the title for sure.
(I hate seeing KDB being this bad, he's one of my favorite players in the history of football. It was clear he'd age badly, but this season the drop is so big already).

Never seen any Pep side stayed terrible this long - he's well known for turning things around so quickly this is sad to watch how a single player ( Rodri) absent affected the whole team this badly. You know what's more annoying? They're going to get CL football next season ahead of fraud Enzo Mascara Chelsea. Congratulations Liverpool in advance - Slot winning the league and the CL trophy in his first season to erase everything Klopp did in 7 years! I will be here to laugh.. KDB is only 33 how is he already looking 38? Too many sex and burgers - Belgium players. SMH

I think it is safe to say Liverpool already secured Premier League title after this match, unless something catastrophic happens in next twelve rounds. Only Arsenal can have a small chance of putting pressure on them, but I dont think they can keep it up until the end of season. Nottingham is very lucky keeping third place for now, but Newcastle is only 3 points below them. Very interesting fight between darbit and elche for top spot, with leea waiting one of them to make a mistake. I am not happy only 7 points in superbru this round, and I need a miracle to get back in topi positions.

I totally haven't been following the pools much, but I'm very happy to climb to 4th, I switched in EPL pool to 2-1 a lot now and it seems to be working I have to say, the top 3 provide SUPER INTERESTING stats! If you see, #1 has the most EXACT scores, #2 and #3 have the 1st and 2nd most CLOSE scores. #3 has the LOWEST correct scores but HIGHEST slam points. So close, top 3 are all not taking risks at all The top 8 will be happy Atalanta and Milan are out. Especially Liverpool probably has bad memories of Atalanta right?
I will also be wary of the team that could eliminate those teams in the manner they did. Arsenal will be playing either Feyenoord or PSV. teams that were able to eliminate Italian giants, no easy games from this point on. - Jay - Very true, very true, but also, we should look at those Italian clubs in their own Serie A, where they have been horrible. Losing games where they were big favorites, almost all the clubs are guilty of this which suggested they were not consistent enough for a sustained win. Honestly I sort of looked down on Dutch football recently other than Ajax who played really great a few seasons ago but looked like shit even in Europa but now we have their Ajax rivals beating very good clubs. Like you said no more easy games for EPL teams. I would be very careful too. Feel bad for Aston Villa tho if they progress, they meet either PSG or Liverpool

Yeah, it's always sad, no matter what, especially with a player who's decent and generally just a good person to me. There was this one cross he made that went far above and towards the corner flag, really felt so so bad for him. You always want to see a guy go out on a high but he's been horrible to watch, and he knows it, which makes it worse.

4 matches just gone :3 how could I forget not to choose 4 matches this week damn.
In fact, if I chose at least there were additional points that I could get for this early match even though it might not be too big but at least there were points that could be taken but by losing the first 4 matches this week then all wasted just like that and just have to see if my luck in guessing the score is good enough in the remaining matches.

Please remind me not to make any last minute changes in the future I first had Fulham and Brighton to win, but than I changed it to draw and I only collected one point from first four matches in this round. It is going to be interesting to see what Man City can do against Spurs, and if we can see Man United going to relegation zone, that would be funny

Yeah is Southampton that's why Chelsea can come out and play, scoring 4 wasteful goals doesn't solidified our stand in the top four, nothing the boys can do that'll impress me again unless they pick up a better form to the end of the season. The good for nothing Nkunku, it's now that he can score after being terrible for us in the last games and causing us those games. I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss Jackson. There's truth in the words "you don't know what you have until you don't have it anymore". I hope he comes back from injuries soon because we need his work rate at the top though he isn't finishing the ball as we would had loved him to. Southampton was always going to be a win game for Chelsea but keeping a clean shit was a suprise to me.

Well, to be fair, City could only beat Southampton 1-0 and it was a very ugly goal from Haaland doing a bull rampage, so any team playing Southampton and beating them by a big margin can say they are something, ok maybe to make you Chelsea guys feel better but its also a truth! So they seem to be doing better, I read that the coach switched you guys around. I mean, so crazy to read that teamsheet and see every name is a big name, and yet they are doing as badly as Manchester United in 2025.

Hope Arsenal lose and Liverpool win tonight hahaha But rest assured that Liverpool's chance to get the title is close and it will not be let go by Arne Slot.

In fact, you should just not enter any picks at all, and then you'll avoid the pain of losing, the default picks will go in Same as me, anyway. 1 big fat point. Interestingly, the top 3 all got 1 or 1.5 points too -- while 4th,5th,6th and 7th all got 7-8.5 points. Funny how these rounds go, but the top guys are so far above us in performance.
