Another win for Slot’s winning machine. Only one PL game lost all season and that was in September. Surely he must be having one of the best debut seasons as a manager in PL history.

1-0 but a win's a win, right? Both Tarkowski and Pickford went to apologise to MacAllister and Nunez, both knew they got away last night.

Not that I'm crying about it, but fouls don't get punished anymore after whistle goes? So after the whistle, anything goes? Nunez was writing like a wound-up toy but Pickford seems bent on taking out a Red every derby.

So far we've lost 5 games all season and we're only alive in one competition. Barca has lost 6 and have won one, and are alive in everything else. Wining the league will erase all the pain, I'm sure, still remember when we lost ONCE all season in the league and still ended up second!

Igebotz, you know? Palmer, Jackson, Noni, could all be playing. Without this particular bit of info, I'd say Spurs have a good chance but with these three guys playing again (when was the last time, last year), I'm smelling a rout.

Oh how I've missed the Palmer - Jackson - Noni attack combo,  can't wait to watch them tomorrow; I was getting sick of watching Nkunku disasterclass game in, game out. Jackson can be pain in the ass but his pressing and runs in-between line are top notch..

What is he going to sign when there are no contract paperwork on the table?  Liverpool isn't making an effort, and Trent isn't bothered.  He only wants the season to end so that he may start a new chapter.  If Liverpool truly wanted him to stay, I am sure they would have offered him a contract extension.  But the question is, why didn't they put him on the market last summer, knowing he wouldn't be getting an extension at the club? 

It's hard to understand what Liverpool is doing letting TAA go, what business model is this?
As widely reported Liverpool said he did not try hard in defending TAA he just wanted to enjoy the contract period ending while TAA's desire went to the big club Real Madrid.

Ahh summer Liverpool will lose many important players.

But they do not need to lose any to be able to keep another. Salah obviously wants to stay, I think the same of Van Dijk, Trent is the only one that looks to have one feet out the door already.

We don't know that financially.

The news is Liverpool do not want to increase their salary in the new contract, while Salah demands higher, so which one is true?
Do Liverpool just want to maintain financially?

I wonder if Arteta will throw in the towel and rest players for their game this weekend. They already lost Gabriel and can’t afford any more injuries. They don’t have a recognised CF fit. I wonder if Arteta will rest players and go all out for the CL. Big game against Real Madrid next week.

If I was him, I would. Focus on Champions League, it's still a good way to a trophy, they are having Saka back, and they still have an aokay defence, I would give up Premier League, just keep top 4, win Champions League that they never won before.

Beat Real and then it's everything possible

Ahh summer Liverpool will lose many important players.

When we lost Fab, Hendo, Keita, Millie even the Ox all at once, I thought we'd be seeing an intense drop off too. Didn't happen, by luck or by fashion, we found a way. I'd love for all three to stay, but having already survived a Salah scare back in 2022, I think now we'll do fine as long as we stick to Edwardsball.

I don't see why he wouldn't want to rest the players against Everton this weekend; he's already lost the title race and will still be 2nd if Nottingham Forest wins their next game, so he has nothing to lose in the league, but a lot is at stake in the Champions League.  Gabriel and Kai Havertz's absence from the CL should be a big setback to their CL campaign.

Not when their CL spot rivals are Nottingham, Chelsea and Newcastle. They're certainly going to qualify now that we have 5 slots.

Anyway - KDB announced he's leaving City at the end of the season.

Bittersweet feeling, he's one of my favorite players, but you could see it clearly this season that his time has come - he was below par in the majority of the games he's played in.

City basically doesn't have anybody to replace him, I hope they get some kind of transfer ban otherwise they will surely go for Wirtz - another player I truly like and who would fit perfectly into this City team.

De Bruyne can now be said that he is the legend of the club,he won everything with Man City and i think he has a few more years left in him but injuries caused him a lot of problems last few years and i think thats why he is leaving the club. Wirtz would be a perfect replacement but they will pay a lot for him for sure if they get him

The game is much faster than his pace right now; he's only 33 but already looking 38.  I had no idea it had been 10 years; how quickly time goes.  He will be missed, and while I wanted him out years ago, he is one of my favourite players on the other team.  There aren't many players like him out there, making it difficult to find a suitable replacement.

Manchester City has produced more actual club legends than Arsenal in recent years.  Yaya, Kompany, Silva, now KDB. Just thought of this now..

Is he retiring or off to Saudi Arabia? From the announcement it kinda seemed like he was retiring from football, but maybe he doesn't want to say where he's going yet.

I thought I was clever with predicting an Arsenal draw in the EPL Jackpot comp on Sportsbet, but the very next three matches conspired to screw with things. Wolves luckily found a way to win (come on, Ipswich?). Bournemouth is especially hard to swallow, but Brighton, well, I needed them to win for BSFL *sob*

Yeah, it's why I said in an earlier post it's an end of an era for Citeh (without actually saying it). I like him a lot too, or should say liked. Don't know much about him as a person but I do wish he'd left on a high. Always unfair that our memories also remember how shit a player is at the end of a career, it's one of the most unnecessary things to remember when they give years of otherwise great football, but that's also why I have such an admiration for those who know when it's time to hang up their boots, or to ply trade elsewhere where they won't be a burden.

Well i was completly fucked since a few rounds ago, seems like every opposite pick with my rivals they took an exact score and i took or nothing or a result/close. This weekend is a nightmare in most of the pools for me.

I have Crystal Palace to win even in the BSFL, but at the very last time i change it for a 1-1, for worst my direct rivals took an exact in that match.

It really has been a magical season for Forest. They failed to win but are still in a very good position to secure a finish in the top 4, which is more than their fans could have dreamt of last August. I think Arsenal will finish second but Forest can still secure their UCL finish.

At the bottom of the table looks like all 3 promoted teams will be returning to the Championship. I wonder if there will be financial regulation changes that will allow promoted teams to be more competitive.

Maybe now it is quite different because the three players are quite important at Liverpool because they are the main pillars, yes even if they leave it will not make a crisis in the game.
Like Arne Slot will find his way again, not a matter of luck but tactics.

I don't know why Manchester United can qualify for the quarterfinals even though the PL is bad.
Against Lyon may be quite equal but it is likely that the red devils can qualify again.
While the competition for tickets is still quite tight - it seems that until the end of this season will continue to chase points.

Yeah that would suck to finish 5th and then not gain CL qualification if Man Utd win the CL.

I don’t think Man Utd will win it though, they are a crap team at the moment. Amorim is a good coach but it would be something special if he got that group of players to win the EL.

Ah well, a loss was coming. Kelleher had a little bit of bad luck, and some jaded play all around, probably needs a series of no-shows from Salah too before he comes back firing. We did come close a couple of times but the equaliser was just shy. I'm okay with a loss like this. Maybe we do want Gooners to give us that guard of honour after all ha ha ha...

Ah well, a loss was coming.

26 games unbeaten run is very impressive. That can be a title winning run in any season. This may be a bit disappointing for the players cause it is the 3rd loss in 4 games, but isolating just the league, the reds have been very good.

Maybe we do want Gooners to give us that guard of honour after all ha ha ha...

With the games between now and then, I somehow do not think the title will be clinched by then.
