We’re coming towards the end of the last international break of the season. I really hate this crap.

Some bad news coming out about Trent AA for Liverpool fans. I have mixed feelings about it but on reflection **** him, we have a Premier League title to win.

I think that everyone hates this international breaks. Its just a waste of time and no good football out of it. With Trent AA injured this is gonna make hard for Liverpool to win. He was the player that made a difference and without him things will change but its a good thing that Liverpool still has a big lead over Arsenal.

I broke the Real Madrid - Trent linked months ago, I'm not surprised abit, I'm only sad how premier clubs keep losing good players to Real Madrid for free. This is on the Liverpool management; kept romancing contract extension since last season till this moment.

Same here, same here. I feel like we always hated it, but it seems to be getting worse and worse. We all love World Cup and all that but sometimes there's just too many breaks and interruptions.

About Trent, don't feel bad about it. He was/is such a great talent but he really is one of a kind and the sooner you kinda replace him the better for overall formation, in long term.

He'll leave, I'm almost 100% this happens and unfortunately to my La Liga rival

These kind of players should never be allowed to leave on free transfers.

We had a great transfer policy in recent years so seems kinda absurd tjat 3 of our key players can leave on free transfers. They could have brought 200+ million euros.

Damn Real Madrid always get expensive players for free... I feel Real Madrid lobbied for him at the beginning.

Imagine if we sell TAA - Liverpool will get 75M Euros

I think Liverpool's finances are still healthy, it just doesn't make sense to buy 3 players at once in the summer for 200M.

TAA, well. Liverpool fans are always a bit nasty when the guy they love professes eternal love and then leaves. But I never blamed Owen, won't blame Trent. You just never know, though. I'm thinking a triple treat is being readied for us... heh heh.

Anyway, hope that Fulham's exit from FA Cup will give them some extra juice, sort of glad Arsenal play first so the pressure is on them first (and even if they win, our job doesn't change -- but they drop points and there is less pressure to beat what will surely be a fierce Everton).

Igebotz, you know? Palmer, Jackson, Noni, could all be playing. Without this particular bit of info, I'd say Spurs have a good chance but with these three guys playing again (when was the last time, last year), I'm smelling a rout.

Well after a long wait, we are here again. Pretty difficult matches to predict on this round. Maybe in other years this amtches were pretty easy to predict but in this wierd season is complicated.

I fully agree with you, but sometimes you can do nothing about it. If the agent is greed and the players want to leave, they can convinve him to not sign any contract and wait until he is free to leave to other team offering a huge salarie in change for the fee of transfer.
It seems easy but the player take risk also by doin this, imagine if the player gets injured, or worse if the coach seeing this said "okay, youa re not gonna play anymore".

Starboy - Saka returns with a bang. I have waited so long to see him get on the grass and help the team. He still needs to get to full sharpness and be match ready, but I think that is something he can do before our UCL clash with Real Madrid, he will be greatly needed in that one.

Clubs sometimes expect the player will eventually sign and stall on accepting bids, Paris did it with Mbappe and he left on a free eventually. Liverpool may have expected the local lad will sign eventually and it may only be a salary issue.

On Trent's end, he is 26, at the peak of his career with a ticket to walk into the Real Madrid squad after winning everything with Liverpool and most likely will win another EPL to mark his exit. That is a difficult thought to put off.

Oh how I've missed the Palmer - Jackson - Noni attack combo,  can't wait to watch them tomorrow; I was getting sick of watching Nkunku disasterclass game in, game out. Jackson can be pain in the ass but his pressing and runs in-between line are top notch..

I'm not worried about Tottenham; they're on London derby losing streaks. We know how to deal with them..

Correct, but I think sometimes a club can have more 'power' here and sort of 'punish' players who refuse to sit down and sign like you said ar, the coach or even owner can say ok youre not gonna play. Remember PSG and Mbappe?

 I don't really like it overall but yes, Liverpool could have done this. Instead, they let the players not know whats going on. I think it was only in final year that the club approached them, if I'm not mistaken, and this is the mistake.

But they do not need to lose any to be able to keep another. Salah obviously wants to stay, I think the same of Van Dijk, Trent is the only one that looks to have one feet out the door already.
Although I am one who does not consider it to be a loss if a player goes on a free. He has fulfilled his contract obligations to the club and has been a loyal servant, it is not on the player to ensure the club gets a fee for him.

This will be a tricky situation for the 3 parties involved. I can imagine Real Madrid will not be keen on signing him if that happens as his transfer fee will be bloated for a player that just signed a new deal, plus there will be bonuses that will need to be paid and some other fine details to complicate things.

What is he going to sign when there are no contract paperwork on the table?  Liverpool isn't making an effort, and Trent isn't bothered.  He only wants the season to end so that he may start a new chapter.  If Liverpool truly wanted him to stay, I am sure they would have offered him a contract extension.  But the question is, why didn't they put him on the market last summer, knowing he wouldn't be getting an extension at the club? 

This is the business model Todd Boehly wanted us to emulate?

Yeah, I think after a number of years, the player has done their service to the club. Mainoo is getting lots of backlash now cause he is not yet 20 but already making big demands and stalling on a contract.
Trent has signed about 4 contract extensions with the club and has been there for over 15 years. The whole responsibility rests on the club here.

Its a good thing that superbru sends an email to remind me or i would have missed so many rounds. I had a draw in this match and Man Utd again dissapoints. Nottingham forest at home is a really good team and i was thinking of picking them to win or draw and like always this season i pick the wrong one. Well i got only 3 points so you didnt miss much

I came here to post for people not to forget that the new round starts today, but then saw that there was games yesterday haha. Looks like I put them in before the international break. I should say luckily but I only got one result right haha. Glad forest won even though I went for the draw. It's going to be interesting if they keep winning and Liverpool drop any points. 13 points in front with a game in hand so they should be ok even if they have a wobble.

He won't want to sabotage his move but Liverpool might want to because signing a new contract might discourage his admirers. Don't know if it's just me but I really want to see what Trent can achieve at Real Madrid. I think he has outgrown Liverpool and needs new challenge so although I want the best players to play in the premier league but still it won't be bad to watch him do it at the big stages and get himself into good conversations for his career.

They're having one of their best seasons in a while and I'm just happy for them their stand in the top 4 is almost guaranteed and all that's left is for either Chelsea or Man city to lose some of their games and they'll be playing champions league football next season. I didn't expect them to finish top 4 but they're proving me wrong.

It's definitely only a matter of when, not if for Liverpool... Arsenal next 3 matches are Everton, Brentford and Ipswich looks good on paper, so I wouldn't be surprise if this run does become their first run of 4 consecutive wins in the league, Liverpool's immediate fixture shouldn't be of any trouble either, I'd say.

Except for players that are of doubts already, I don't think Arteta would rest his players, they play very early on Saturday, and the game against Real Madrid would be held in London, so there is a lot of recovery time for the players, although I'd expect players like Saka who had just return for a long injury to get an early rest.
