by that rationale noone will buy 90% of alts and bitcoin, because thats exactly what theyv all been coin!!! Its called a bear market! & it DOESNT last forever!!!!

I find it insane that everyone is bitching about a dying coin when they're part of the problem, not the solution.

A) Show a little positivity if you want to see it succeed. You're just shooting yourself (any everyone else) in the foot otherwise.

2) Entitled snottiness is really unbecoming. Lots of people, esp. danosphere, have put an incredible amount of time into this. He has a life, a wife, a job and other things to do. Expecting someone to work for you for free is ridiculous and just shows that you're either completely out of touch with reality or you haven't had to work a day in your life.

III) Someone out there bought a billion MEOW. That takes some investment even at current prices and, while it is possible some idiot has more money than they know what to do with and is just going to use it to hurt kittehcoin, I think it's much more likely that there are some plans out there that you and I aren't privy to.

Whatever will be will be, but all you guys singing the doom song are not helping. Unless that's why you're here... to hurt the coin. If so, well done.

It's a long shot, but maybe we should hop on the 2% POS train with a multipool?  Even the fairly distributed (to many scam accounts most likely) faircoin and communitycoin have a few times our marketcap.  Cinni and whitecoin are doing even better.  Whitecoin is over a million even though it's dev sold the premine, fled, and left the community with a nonfunctional coin.  There are tons of clones that are starting up, but this coin has a small community already.

Thoughts on this?

I really don't know if I'm qualified to comment on the POS train, but I'm a holder of a few POS coins and it may actually be the future of crypto currency. At this point I can't afford ASICs and the $50+/month in electricity is killing me (and my fiancee is definitely not down with it either.)

I don't believe planting trees will help. A low-energy future path seems extremely enticing. It may not be as wonderful to kiddies that are leeching electricity off their parents with the brand new gaming rig they got for xmas and no access to cash, but I think we're a bit beyond that point.

This may be meme-based but so is doge and doge is not a joke at this point. It may not take itself seriously but the impact upon the world and the financial markets is deadly serious. This isn't a project. This isn't a whim. Things have gotten real and we need to treat it as such.

Hey guys sorry my f*cking filevault disk got messed up and I just had to reinstall OSX today; was busy this weekend but chatted with some kittehs in IRC. At least one (veremit) was taking the initiative to get their hands dirty with actual coin code.

As indicated in an earlier post the new branch of the kittehcoin code has been created, please issue me pull requests when ready and I'll review and merge them. I'll be working on the wallet itself this weekend. I saw people had been reaching out to the digishield devs, I'll check my email to see what the status is there- willing to integrate that instead of KGW if desired.

I am way behind on my email so if you have sent me something and I haven't replied its because I'm workin on it. If people need anything from me please let me know- haven't heard of anything outside of the emails I need to catchup on. The marketing folks have definitely picked up their end of things now we need some crypto and web kittehs to help out!

Are you talking about the internal improvements we were discsussing? Aka: our own custom diff algo rather than pure KGW? That won't be happening at this point, unless someone from the community steps up. I'm just going to make sure the KGW vars are fixed but we've been discussing in IRC moving to Digishield. For that to happen I suggest the community put up a bounty for a dev to implement that and then issue a pull request; bounty to be paid once pull request is accepted.

I'm willing to commit to fully reviewing the pull request and verifying that the code is legit and implements digishield correctly.

I have also created a new branch for the next client release... anyone working on forward-moving kittehcoin code should fork this branch and issue pull requests to it, which I will gladly review and merge if legitimate- https://github.com/kittehcoin/kittehcoin/tree/v0.8.6.3.
