Did you create the .conf file in the roaming folder?

You need to go to C:/users/app data/roaming/mintcoin and create a txt file. Copy the example conf txt from the original post and paste it in that file.
There will be a bunch of lines that say "addnode=xxx"
Add some new lines that say addnode= and add the ip addresses posted by other users in this thread (just a few of them will do). You want to connect to a node that is online, so you are adding as many nodes as you can.
Once done, rename the file to mintcoin.conf

There should be a couple replies a few pages back with a large list of nodes. You just need to copy some of the IP addresses and put them in your .conf file.

Once thats done, turn your wallet on and let it do its thing. It may take upwards of 30 minutes to work its way through the nodes until it finds a live one.

yup copied them all still nothing

Again, its not instant and will be semi-random.
Why are you trying to sync the wallet anyway? you don't mine from the wallet.
You don't need to download the wallet at all to mine.
Just leave it open and it will sync eventually. Start mining with cgminer.

I am having wallet issues too very annoying

We need proper assistance, not just coded language. We are not all computer nerds

I just got mine to sync

I am using Windows 7: Here is what I did to get it cooking

First STEP: This will allow your to change the extension of the file you will be creating:
Goto your start menu,
and in the search box, Enter "file options"
Click the "view" tab at the top
Scroll down to "Hide extensions of known file types"
Make sure it is NOT checked
Click "Ok"

Finding the correct folder:
Goto your start menu,
and in the search box, Enter "%APPDATA%", hit enter
Double click the "Roaming" folder
Double click the "MintCoin" folder

Creating the config file:
Right click on a white spot within the "Mintcoin" folder
Scroll down and click "New"
Then select "Text document"
Name it mintcoin.txt

Copy and pasting the nodes into your created file:

Double click mintcoin.txt (to open up the file into notepad)

Copy the following info below:

testnet=0
listen=1
addnode=81.17.16.228

Now paste it into your opened mintcoin.txt file
