He is part of DOPE and i told him that it was smart to rebrand TAK and make it more popular. DOPE was a small coin like TAK now. What i had with dope? Nothing. Mining it a long time in the beginning and holding my coins and then the CANN hype came

Mintpal kicked out TAKcoin, but they have died before TAK^^
then... we have some problems with mintpal.
they still have a lot of TAKcoin which were abandoned by our community.
i am chasing the addresses of mintpal, and thinking what we should do.

Danny, if you wish to come here, I'm rather sure we can arrange that. =)

I believe Mr. Takei would not consider us a nuisance if he could see clearly the potential it has, and most importantly the mindsets of those supporting it.

We don't exactly need him to be aboard though, so if he does not respond or is not willing to support the TAK, that's not such a big issue.

However, what Uncle George could do (much more easily than us) is give TAK the concrete power to affect things.

I feel reaching Mr. Takei is worth the trouble anyways, so unless you particularly wish me to stop, I'll keep on trying. =)

Hopefully the coin can live on. I always wanted it to be for a good cause. I mined some coins in the early days.

hi all.
i am so disappointed to say bad news.
i will announce something after three days.
i think i must notice that now because someone can get loss for that.
TAKcoin has no halving time and miners can produce a lot of coins forever.
so its obvious that TAKcoin be a trash coin.
if original developer is still with us, he must do the hardfork and reduce production of coin.
but we lost original site , developer and the mining pool. allmost everything.
i decided to rescue TAKcoin because i have much.
i made homepage, compiled new wallet and was designing future plan.
but i met a big wall.
exchange does not adopted new wallet.
i understand their position, because i am not accepted by TAK community till now.
half of us use older version and half of us use newer version.
i designed hardfork at 900k and now 875.
we will have much problem and two version will collide then.
there is just a week left now.
i told cryptsy to adopt newer wallet but they gave me no answer till now.
so i will announce not to use newer version if cryptsy deny to adopt it.
i wanna make TAKcoin fly to the sky, but i am not so able man.
i am poor at english and its hard job to make myself understood.
the only thing i can do is the development but i have had no support till now.
i will announce the result after three days.
if i fail, i will close my site(takcoin.info) ,block explorer and etc, and announce droping the hardfork.
if some of you tell cryptsy to adopt new wallet, it can be big help for me.
i am sorry for my poor job.

Yes, I also understand Danny's decision very well. There's no need for apologies! =)

However, I'm also willing to continue the development as was my plan right before Danny came aboard.

So TAK is still on the map and about to get back on track very soon!

I'm extremely busy right now so it may take a few days before I can write a proper update, but please hold on - there are some very good news on the way!
