Will you trade Bitcoin to buy Altcoins?

I am thinking of diversifying my portfolio, so i have to sell some bitcoin to buy altcoins. As a part of my strategy, i am planning to buy some established altcoins and some newly listed altcoins.

Diversifying is onew of the best method to earn profits. It is dividing your funds to different coins, like altcoins (undervalued altcoins will do). Just like me, I am holding for long term position those altcoins is new and still undervalued. That is my strategy as of now.

I was looking at the possibility of investing in several Altcoins as part of my trading by selling off Bitcoins. I do feel that with proper planning and execution, the profits that could be reaped through these Altcoins by day trading in a week would be far superior to that of Bitcoin.

It is true I am talking in terms of a short term gain. BTC is certainly a long term investment but what about the short term gains? As an example, even if I invest in 1000 coins of IOTA or 10000 coins of NEM, I am assured of greater volatility in the market for these coins compared to that of BTC. If NEM makes a high on a particular day even by 0.05$ USD, I would make 0.05x10000 = 500$ USD in a day if I sell all my coins at that price.

Of course, trading does involve many other practical factors which make things not as simply as I write here. But being a pro I can simplify the complexity and say that it is certainly possible to make it so.

But will this not be a way to make decent income every day? When you invest in cryptocurrency, it is a need for one to continually observe the market trends. When one is able to understand the intricacies of the market then it is better that he takes up (day) trading.

After all it is important we make money on a regular basis apart from the long term investment isn’t it so?

I think this is a great time for you to buy and trade bitcoin, you can see that bitcoin prices are rising very fast and this is the backbone of the altcoin pump price, now a lot of altcoin has started. pump prices are very strong and this is your chance. corection , bitcoin is not rising verry fast because if it is rising verry fast then why we are still stuck at 6k to 7k levels? the value is up and down but continously rising due to the effects of volatility.

though i agree when you say that this is still the right time to buy bitcoins because their value is still pretty cheap when compared to last years value. however trading them right after you buy them is not recomended because you will not earn that much, instead it is better if you can just hodl it for a while.

Yes, it good to make or earn money on a regular basis with the exclusion of long-term. But, in terms of long or short terms form of trading or investment, bitcoin pose as the best crypto currency and i will never trade my bitcoin for any altcoin. Besides, the time of investing and the level of experience of cryptonier with the capital posses will determine the best way a crypto currency trader or investor earn his/her income.

Investing in altcoins can be seen as investing in people's ideas, I think that this is a very useful and proper investment, because it is ideas that can bring people more resources and opportunities.

yes, if you are a good trader then you can gain more profit than long term investment even the market is down you can still make profit because some altcoins are increase.

Right. I do it often. It is better sometimes to change Bitcoins for different good altcoins. I think that cheaper alts like Ontology, Stellar, and TRON are good ones.

I agree, if the market provides an additional opportunity to earn, this chance should be used. But it is necessary to carefully evaluate the risks.

Over here, you got to treat Bitcoin and money and if you are able to earn more with altcoin than the money(Bitcoin) you are holding, you should actually go for that because that is what every rational individual will do. However if the expected return is low than that of Bitcoin, it is better to hold Bitcoin and rather not go for it. This is called crypto evaluation and in my opinion if one is holding a diverse portfolio will earn a good stack of dollar.

If you know how to start cryptocurrency trading so you can start cryptocurrency trading but if you don't know how to start cryptocurrency trading, I just suggest you must learn about cryptocurrency and must follow coinmarketcap and analyses which is the very good coin. Then you can start cryptocurrency trading. Altcoin is a coin with less value while the Bitcoin is more valuable than all the other currencies of the crypto market. The right statement should for trading with Altcoin to start Bitcoin later after making profit in Altcoin trading. I prefer to trade cryptos/fiat instead of crypto/crypto pair. So, I won't trade my btc to other cryptos. When I see a promising alts, I will buy it with fiat. The chance to sell my bitcoin to buy alts is exist but after I convert it into fiat.

I would approach this statement by considering Bitcoin as a medium of exchange and by considering so, we can use Bitcoin as payment for other crypto as well here altcoin. Now evaluate the future profitability of altcoin and if it can give you more profit that that of altcoin, you can exchange some of the Bitcoin for altcoin. However if the thing is otherwise, you should refrain from the deal and better hold the Bitcoin instead.

Their is always risk in trading but if you properly analyse and prepare a good report of a coin which you are going to trade against btc then i think you can make a decent profit from it and in the end of the day this all profit will be converted to btc so automatically your btc investment goes high with this altcoin trading. Big players are playing like this only and creating wealth with small portion of btc investment.

I can suggest you some advice. Don't trade without much experience. Trading with altcoin is so risky. There is a chance to loss your capital also. In this case, you should need more information and experience.

Your statement tells us a very different aspect of trading. How a person don’t get expertise if he doesn’t start with trading at first place. No one comes with experience from childhood. Everyone learns the things and then their experience level starts growing. So how can you say an individual don’t just jump towards trading if he hasn’t any sense of trading or experience.

Yes I have another income, then in cryptocurrency I can be a long-term investor. But I can see trading in relation to Bitcoin and Ethereum is very interesting. It could be a very good strategy to make it very big in cryptocurrency.

Selling your bitcoins today is not a good choice because when the market prices will pumps up again, bitcoins will increase insanely on its price and altcoins has only a small amount of increase.

I would prefer to trade also a crypto to fiat because this is what today's literally need to do. I would only dare myself to trade crypto to crypto if I see the market finally making it's way to become in a good term again and if I feel that it's time to invest or trade fpr a long term because I believe that everyone has their own gut feeling.

Yes I am much in favor of doing that compare to hold bitcoin in a long term though I need to hold some of bitcoin either. But it is more better to buy

altcoin using our bitcoin, because there is a big chances for us to earn big rather to hold bitcoin in a long term. And besides once you buy an altcoin

then goes up at the right time when you sell it it will automatically convert into bitcoin itself too in the end.

Statement should be opposite because Altcoin is less valuable while Bitcoin is the most valuable cryptocurrency therefore a common person will first earn in Altcoin trading and then will ugrade to Bitcoin trading as we know that Bitcoin is more valuable.

In order to upgrade to the Bitcoin keep in mind that you must be trading with Altcoin or Litecoin at first so that you increase your wealth and make yourself able to start with Bitcoin.
