Holding is one of a good strategy in cryptoworld especially in this bearish situation but its depend on what kind of project coin you will hold for long term choose a good project that have a great technology and developer like ethereum, neo and eos.
Dont ever hold an altcoin that have no goal in their project.
True, holding will only be worth it if the coin/coins you are holding have values. Even if it looks very hard right now, I still believe in holding because there is no choice if most cryptos are on dump. Just like what @dark08 stated, holding still depends on the coin and for how long. Bitcoin and ethereum are best for long term while altcoins are good for short term and day trading. I believe that most bitcoin earners will choose holding right now because it is the most preferable and smartest thing to do when the market price is low. We know that it is the best thing to do rather than selling. |

This technique is very good but it does not always work. This technique works only when the coin and the project in which you invested your money - has very good prospects, in this case your investments will be multiplied with each month. But if you invest your money in some sort of schitcoin - this technique can not be of any use to you.

Was looking at CMC and was wondering few years down the line what we will be able to see in this list and how long it will be?
Reality is we are very early in this industry and the pace at which projects are coming up and the technology is changing does anyone believe in HODLING cryptos anything other than Bitcoin and Ethereum?
I feel it's a buzz word used to create a FOMO effect
Holding is very effective right now, the market price today is still dropping and holding your coins will be the best thing to do because selling your coins will only make you lose a huge amount of your investments. |

I believe on the strategy of holding, most of the people are aware to the benefits of doing hodling. It is proven by many investors that HODL is really effective technique. If you have a lot of patience, I believe that you can really do hodling. |

Even those coin market caps is in the bearish situation,i still believe in HODL idea of crypto coins,because i still believe thats everything happens now have a reason,and that reason we should not get it now,otherwise these feeling of fear messing out or (FOMO) that we feel is part of being humanity,thats why in my own idea holding is the best way to sustain in this struggle situation of cryptocurrency investment. |

Here no one will tell you the exact answer, since no one can predict the future. In any case, last year we already saw a spurt of prices, we can count on it, but it would be naive to believe that everything will be the same again and again. Most likely, we will see more than one attempt to knock out random people out of the market, and only at the end, when the overwhelming majority ceases to believe in the asset, only then we will see its take-off and we will buy quite at different prices)
The world of business and investment and most probably bitcoin is such the same when it comes to the risk that they would goung to choose. And you can count me as lne of the believers who are currently unavailable to provalue and that's why also I guess everyone choose to hold their coin even in this kind of condition.. |

I believe on the strategy of holding, most of the people are aware to the benefits of doing hodling. It is proven by many investors that HODL is really effective technique. If you have a lot of patience, I believe that you can really do hodling. patience is the only key for a successful holding if you fail to wait until the such time that the value of holdings raise by more than 50% then you will regret it in the end. I am a holder and i put my faith that bitcoin will have a good value this year. |

Holding was good when bitcoin's price was 300-400$ and when everyone was saying hold bitcoin because it will increase to 900$, it was good when new investors were coming and when price jumped to 19-20K but holding is not good any more.
Now many people have bitcoins but what are they really doing with it except holding them?
We need to use bitcoin, bitcoin has to circulate between people, we need to use it as we are using paper money or credit cards and only then bitcoin idea will succeed.

at this market condition it is very diffcult to belive in holding these days most of the ones who have invested in 2017 because of holding thinking they lost all their profits

to be honest I still believe in holding, because bitcoin prices that can go up and down and will not selamnya bitcoin prices will be below there will be a time when bitcoin prices rise.

Everyone believe that holding is the best strategy to gain in crypto, based on the past price of the bitcoin we can also say that it is really rising yearly. It will sometimes experience a huge dump but at the end it will end up rising double with its current price. I believe that in crypto holding with patience is really the best thing to do to gain a huge amount of profit.

Bitcoin is good for a stable and reliable profit but you won't get that crazy pump that you can only get with altcoins. Even Ethereum won't give you those gains any more, the boat has already left. Try lower cap coins around $10 that can potentially hit over $100 and hodl them until they do
Well as far as I know, all the altcoins are still down too. They are moving besides bitcoin. They aren’t showing up like many bear run are getting on. They are down and they move according to bitcoin. But there may be some coins too who are not in resonance with bitcoin and you are talking about them. Still, whatever it is, confirm it first and then go for making any investment. |

Personally i really believe in holding, this is the best strategy i ever known if you want to earn a huge profit, i have a lot of my friends became successful because they are holders, if youre holding a promising coins as well as holding your patience and emotions surely you will success. |

Actually holding does not only maximize the worth of your current portfolio. It also helps you raise the money that you have lost in trading. This I the only trick that helps you when the market is down and it is not advisable to sell the portfolio. Besides, not selling and holding the portfolio actually raise the market again, a way to force up the prices in the economy. |
