I think it is because of the exclusiveness of crypto to everyone. Anyone regardless of their age, gender and race can invest and earn from bitcoin and from these comes those who are not knowledgeable enough for crypto and they are those who carelessly join ICO that obviously looks like about to fail.

It's not that I disagree with most posters in this thread saying that the vast majority of new ICO projects are either scams from the very beginning or for reasons beyond their control never make it to an exchange, but I want to say a few words in defense of projects you've mentioned in the selected text above. If a coin/token makes it to an exchange and get pumped for 2 hours, or sometimes it's 2 days, that's not actually that bad. You just have to sell it in due time and this can provide you with good profits in some cases.

I think people who lower scamming projects by not learning ico are good and they don't want to buy, because in my opinion they feel afraid to take a risk. maybe they think that ico is not much different from gambling that has a high risk. they prefer to buy potential coins. even though not all ico are scamming. but when we can learn about good ico, we might get a big profit. everything that has a big risk, surely there is a big advantage in it too. in my opinion, people will soon learn when they realize that trading with ico, one can get a big income.

Greed and laziness to research I'd say is the leading causes of why these things happens all the time to people, One must be cautious whenever they see any project that promises profits that's just too much and they should really research into great details before they invest into any venture.

This is the real scenario recently, ico's were being snobbed and selfdrop were very indemand. Why? Because of the scam Ico everywhere, atleast on selfdrop they will have their token right away and one other reason is the bear market, with the selfdrop ico, they can easily take their profit without waiting for too long time.

many investors are interested in low prices and other bonuses and that is actually a problem because most ICOs or Airdrops that are scams are what offer a lot of profits. learn the concept first and read the Whitepaper of the ICO project, see the team and see if the ICO has collaborated with other big companies.

The most people who still participate in this fake and scam airdrops and selfdrops are the beginners in the crypto world, they don't have the essential needed knowledge about this worthless campaigns, and they believe that they will earn a lot of money after receiving these tokens. Sometimes they even get scammed by giving away their private keys.

I want to say that it takes a little time to learn and understand how to find a good ICO. The way that can be started is to make data then learn it. Maybe there are still many of them who don't see the data well and make mistakes because they want to get a lot of profit in a fast time but never learn for it.
