Bittrex still has not responded to my support ticket concerning the legacy account problem and verification.

MONTHS.  IT HAS BEEN MONTHS.  Can someone post the contact details, my lawyer needs them to send the initial demand letter.

Just use the 2fa trick dude, it's the fastest and most reliable way of getting their attention. It worked for me and more people. Just send them another support ticket requesting 2fa removal and you will get a live admin to talk to you in 1-2 days, ask him for verification, they usually do it.

People that have lost money because of their accounts locked or un verified and can not move, and the drop in BTC, can you sue Bitttrex because of it?
Essentially they are holding people's money , AKA stealing with no recourse. Time to call the Washington State DA people!

It would be great but can you actually do anything against them? Will they give a fuck? Because I honestly doubt it, unfortunately. Also people here don't seem to care much either.

If the people losing money are from the US they can easily cause enough trouble for Bittrex to lose their licensing . They can also be sued in a heartbeat in the US.

Yeah but you think they are not going to fight it? They will just say the have been verifying accounts and will just give retarded excuses for all the disabled accounts.

I'm sure they will, but they can be overwhelmed of enough people start the lawsuit(s). The fact that they are holding people's funds with tickets for verification or other reasons is illegal in the USA. Since Bittrex did not lend the money to the account holder, they have ZERO ability and rights to withhold it from the account holder, if they request it be transferred out of Bittrex to another wallet. It's that simple in the USA. When there is money involved the govt will butt-fugg them promptly if enough people complain/start lawsuits or contact the local and national media about it.

But isn't the ''KYC'' thing supposed to protect them from that? Like they disabled all withdrawals because of that, that's what they say. You think people from outside the US can do something? A part from exposing them on social media.

Yup. In the US we have laws that will go after the company. Not sure where you're from and people should just write it off.

Go Big or Go Home.

Hi, in UK here. I was reluctantly considering attempting full verification so I could access MY funds, but Just got first (non automated) reply after 30 days telling me      " Due to the threat of legal action I am no longer able to continue this conversation with you. All information regarding your ticket and account will be forwarded to our outside legal counsel. Please contact our outside legal counsel for further inquiries. https://www.perkinscoie.com/en/professionals/joseph-p-cutler.html "
I did inform them that as far as I was concerned that they had changed my terms and conditions with no warning and if they didn't resolve the issue I would undertake legal proceedings, ( I was a little ticked off at the time!).
Not sure if I should still try the verification procedure as I do want my cryptos back, or will they now just tell me to deal with their counsel?
Anyone else had this reply?

So you're suing them, or did you join the class-action against them?

I blew up at them several times but haven't received that response.  I submitted all of the credentials they asked of me, but they still wont let me withdraw. I can still trade but I cannot withdraw. ---> I am working on other angles....seeing doctors for stress, getting affidavits for bilateral damages....wearing wrist braces due to carpal tunnel exasperation....I am suffering greatly---> economically, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. I will probably never be the same after this malicious act!

it seems bittrex is a good place for ETN, because ETN now dominates the market in cryptopia

Bittrex is a good place to get ripped off.  Have you been reading the thread?  ---> They are systematically locking people's accounts and keeping their funds....I wouldn't be trading there if I were you.

I didn't take any action yet, other than mentioning in my ticket that I would if they didn't reinstate my withdrawals.
I only have 600 USD stuck as managed to remove some coins when the limits first got messed with.
It's not really worth a lot of hassle, but it makes me seething mad still (and very sorry for all who have much larger amounts effectively stolen).
I really do not trust them to have copies of my docs etc. but can now see that with the KYC shit that it's probably legit that they are asking for them.
Think I'll wait and watch for a while, see if there are any more stories of customer info being leaked to Russian scammers!

After waiting for a month, Bittrex support fixed the failed verification process last week, so I now have full access to my coins again.

a friend with basic account had been locked and after 3 days all it was ok
and another friend enhanced get his account locked for 1 month and had to sent many requests on support
anyway they lost trust of all users, i withdrew 90% of my coins there and i will never deposit there except if i dont have choice

Bittrex have cancelled accepting new accounts.

As such, we have halted new user registrations for the time being.  If you already have an account on Bittrex, you will not be affected by this change.  Please continue to the log in as you normally do.

Unfortunately, we have to make a few upgrades to our support and backend systems to handle the increased traffic and load.  As such, we have halted new user registrations for the time being.

Actually, i find this very sincere. They are getting tons of money with fees but they are stopping to get more fees because they are not handling the support. At least now i believe they will make things right.

Does this exchange support the next BTC forks?   I've been credited already at Yobit for SBTC and LBTC and shortly HITBTC will do both also.

Bittrex has not credited SBTC & BTX to its customers who held BTC but Binance has. HitBTC has come under some citicism at the moment https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=378827.1020 .
