To anyone who is worried about the price: Marketcap is peanuts now and even when it hits 500m it’s tiny anyway compared to thing they are trying to archieve.

It could not hit 500 mln. This was a total supply tokens, and 50% of tokens were for token sale (250 mln), but Dusk had token sale in hard time and only 56% were raised (so there were sold only 140 mln tokens. This 140 mln as I understand from their schelude will be unlocked in 12 month? team and advisors tokens has vesting time too. So this is really low cap for such project on Binance. Matic, Harmony etc, has much more cap even on this deep

They are not so active in the last days in bitcointalk for the first time. This probably means that they have a lot of things to do and if I see the achievements of the last month
its hard to believe what they did everything in this short time. So lets wait till they have time to inform us about the extension after mainnet.

A few days ago they launched the Dusk testnet. I tried to build a node, but ran into some problems. I reported those problems on Telegram which led them to discover some bugs which they fixed overnight and in the weekend. Most issues are already closed:

Bitcointalk isn't that popular anymore as a way to interact with communities. Most projects are on Telegram, Discord and to a smaller part Slack and Reddit.

The Team is really more active on GitHumb, Telegram and Twitter now, you can get a better follow up there, some partnerships are yet to be announced, and so far they seem to anticipate most of the points in the roadmap. Pay attention to the blocking time of the Investor tokens, which are not few, and the Team blocking time, I can trust a project that is trusted by its developers and investors (whales). We really have something new on the scene and in full swing

i'm not sure about that. its depending on what they serve, strategy, etc.

I really wonder how will dusk browser extension work after mainnet.

I don't think current dusk amount won't be there but still, i hope they share some information about it (how many people using it etc.)

The team promised not to forget the people which used the extension, but if this depends on the amount of collected tokens, nobody knows.

Yes, i know about their promise. But details are not set and they are not throwing away their tokens so far (which is great actually) even i am using that browser extension from day one, i am not hoping for a good return but still, anything is appreciated

Yes I did. Although I did not manage to build the blindbid module necessary to participate in consensus myself yet, a binary release is included in the Dusk core. I could build the node after the team fixed the imports.

In fact, you do not have to build the node yourself. You can download a pre-built node.

I stopped running the node because currently it uses quite a lot of bandwidth. Several gigabytes a day. If you have unlimited data, that is no concern of course. It is a drop in a bucket compared to streaming 4K video.

Bandwith wouldn't be the problem for me but I don't have have any technical background at all, so I would probably need an ELI5 guide to set up a node. And after reading your Github conversation with one of the devs, I am pretty sure I wouldn't be any help at all

I know most of chains adding interoperability with Binance for liquidity today. How this going to impact when DUSK release own platform? Also what we going to loose in perceptive of privacy functionality  that only supported on native platform?

I cant seem to understand your logic. Yes, they sold 140 million tokens but but that doest mean token price cant go up and marketcap reaches 500 million or so. I would say this wouldnt be a surprise because the project is already doing great.

Yes, they could reach 500mln market cap. MAybe he means that they had a hard time raising money in the first place and that there could be selling pressure from the vested coins. This could make it difficult to reach 500mln.

Yes, with the development activity from the team will surely help the coin to increase its price. With the recent announcement from the Binance listing, the price of Dusk coin has increased it's price high and at the same time, the team is also active participation in the developments.
