They need to release their main net first I guess or you're assuming that someone is going to go for an STO blindly without knowing DUSK true potential?

May be you are right. When they going to launch maiinet? Seems security tokens will be next hype after utility tokens. And they must to create maiinet before next bullrun  Roll Eyes

Q2 next year on the roadmap, I can assume Q3 next year then, it's better to test it several times before launching it, because a bugged main net means loss of money

2019 will be crucial for many projects that started last year and this one including Dust. In some way, the future of crypto depends on 2019 to bring some results from all the projects that raised so much money in 2017, otherwise people will stop believing in blockchain

I dont think, that people will stop believing in blockchain.
In fact, exactly the blockchain will be what will be developed independently of all coins.
Applications using blockchain do not depend on the market. What they will not believe in further are ICO's,
there I go with you, but blockchain will be inexorably taking a place in the IT infrastructure.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Even if people won't accept cryptocurrencies their every day life, blockchain technology is already way more than just digital money. So I don't think people will be losing faith in Blockchain.

When people complain about the perceived lack of interesting/ground-breaking/legit projects, I always point them towards DUSK

DUSK is the real deal, you all should be excited about it

I can't agree more.

Right now Dusk Network seems like the most promising ico among others.

2019 will be a fundamental year in my opinion for the world of crypto and for the icos, if do not fit in a bull market many users/investors may abandon, the team is right to continue to present the project in various parts of the world through conferences, events they can always find new investors or new partnerships, before launching the main net i hope team test it well so that the launch will be free from bugs...

That may be not the only reason why they are having these meetings, i reckon people may also attend because they want to understand how it works to perhaps considering using it.

I considered the possibility they want to promote the concept of STOs, because without projects to host there is no point having an STO platform. But does that make sense if technically the DUSK project is still in research phase? What if at some point during research it turns out the concept is not viable?

I think and hope icos will disappear and be replaced by a different model, something where people pledge money can withdraw them back if no progress are made. The way is working now is not sustainable.

I think they mentioned the technical problem about having a functional platform as advertised were solved. But now that you mention i actually wonder if some detail still need to be worked out.

I am sure they did some preliminary research before they went in to this project otherwise they threw away a lot of money but how this will work in real life and how will this work with other devs is still a question which needs time.

Hosting STOs would surely be good for the valuation of the platform but there are many legal uncertainties which make me believe that STOs will not be a big thing before 2020. Until then a lot can change in either direction.

The crypto market is imploding. With all due respect, how about continuing research and developing a product instead of doing talks for a handful of people? There might not be a market left in a few weeks.

I don't think the market is coming to an end, is just readjusting as it naturally happen. It will rise from the ashes as a Phoenix, don't be afraid.  Kiss

Some projects will, most won't!

that's why it's important to properly invest. right now is a great opportunity to come into the market, when prices are low.

Hey Dusk Network, keep up the good work please check out our review and tell us if we need to update any new information, thanks
Where did you write/put that review? Please include the link on your post.

I saw a project that want to realize something like this before where investors will be able to decide how they will get refund based on milestone, but I forgot the project's name.

2019 will be crucial for many projects that started last year and this one including Dust. In some way, the future of crypto depends on 2019 to bring some results from all the projects that raised so much money in 2017, otherwise people will stop believing in blockchain.

I think every year has been crucial, 2019 is nothing special, new tech like Dusk will rise but no-one yet knows if the best one "wins" the race. But every new experiment adds to the variety while breaking old boundaries.

The real believing and adoption starts with simplicity. You can compare it to the start of the internet... Remember how difficult it was to get online back then? Crypto is there now.

Like for example Metamask is still too difficult for masses even while it's a step to right direction, it should hide most of the data.
Some sort of "dns" system could work for addresses as well. After all we are not normally typing ip addresses to the url field either.

Yeah, i believe market learned something in this depression.

About crypto, yes it is in a big depression but the technology not worse from last year and we are better even some points. Just the value changed. It can change again. And i believe it wiil. And that day comes, projects like dusk network will shine!

I do not want to rain on your parade, and I think it has been mentioned a few times before: ironically, DUSK itself is said to be a utility token, not a security token. Although it seems to have some built-in inflation mechanism, not much has been published about its tokenomics. I have also cast my doubt as to whether the built-in inflation mechanism makes DUSK effectively a security, despite being called a utility token.

What are Dusk's next steps to raising funds in the next few days? Any strategy to be implemented, as done in Bitifinex? despite the market downturn, I think Dusk can still increase considerably
