I lost some sleep after i read your ama when i was speculating and studying what could those 2 large names be that you are working with, since i know from the past that you haven't really over hyped anything and this sounds like something to get excited about.. I just posted the XSC specs to my coder friends because most of that goes way above my understanding, making it a huge blind spot, and i just wanted to have an outsider expert to take a look at it.
What did they say? don't keep us in suspense. I'd love to hear as many opinions on this as possible. Since you guys have been binding your time. are there are plans to market this project further?

Is there any plan to release the same extension for Firefox also, because I do not use chrome and still a bit skeptical about brave?

Can someone answer me that when Bitfinex STO exchange starts to use Dusk platform/ecosystem, as they said in Leo whitepaper, how much dusk is needed for fees against eth for example? (I am assuming that the value to Dusk comes from the trading fees paid in dusk, like in etherdelta, but i am still not sure how this works)

The Dusk Browser Node extension works great, I've run it in Brave. Will there be added a wallet in the extension later?
so the dusk node extension can also be used with brave, with chrome? but is it still under testnet? does it not produce tokens yet?... Yes, Brave is competible with every? Chrome extension I believe. The current browser nodes version is a demo. Once the testnet goes public you'll be able to earn real tokens which can be claimed upon mainnet launch! so, i can use dusk extension in chrome browser? hope it haven't any problem

Today I tried it on my netbook and I noticed two things. 1. The window was to big for my netbook screen , so I couldn't see the last option on the bottom "Client / Server Messages". 2. The Addon switched from "Connected" to "OFF", without any action from me. (Networkproblems today?) So maybe it would be a good idea to colorize the Dusk logo when the addon is connected, so you can immediately see that you are offline.

i didn't know about this news that bitfinex will use the dusk platform, the tokens will be used as a fee for the various transactions? is true the extension on chrome occasionally disconnects...

I tested the Dusk extension on a decade old PC and one from last year. On both PCs the extension consumes a non-negligible amount of CPU, about 8-12%. I have not measured the energy consumption yet.
However, I can already tell the most recent PC outpaces the old one in terms of Dusk accumulation. At this stage CPU performance seems to be a bottleneck for ZK proof verification.
I thought generating ZK proofs was a magnitude more CPU intensive than verifying them. What then explains the effect of CPU usage on verifier performance?

I installed the browser extension a few hours ago in my Chrome browser and so far all went really smooth. Even for a non-techy like me it was pretty easy to set-up and to get it running. Btw. for which other browsers is it available? Couldn't find it for Firefox.

Is there any data on how much of an impact the verification of ZK proofs has on your processing power?
The verification stops when the CPU uses more than 50% of what its capable of. This means that if the laptop/computer/smart-device is busy doing something else, the browser node suspends the verifications. That's a sweet deal. Will you get a notification if this happens?

I am happy to see the progress of DUSK, for some time I stopped following them deeply, but the news motivates me to reactivate the profile investor. I hope you succeed with Testnet and the previously announced partnerships with excellent Exchanges

My application is stable. By the way, I noticed that compared to the first day, now the speed of transaction confirmation has decreased. I suppose this is due to the fact that now a lot of working applications?

The browser nodes are helping the network with verification of various zero-knowledge proofs in order to lighten the CPU load of the full nodes. The aim is to expand these browser nodes into full fledge block generators (which will participate to the consensus and get the rewards when they produce an accepted block) or verifiers (who can verify a zero-knowledge computation on behalf of the network).

At the moment Chrome only (which also works in Brave)

(ping >200ms) The nodes will indeed disconnect if there are connectivity issues. Re your suggestion; you can already see the toggle goes to off as well as a change in colour for the whole window! I have discussed the resolution with the tech team and will get back to you! Edit; which netbook were you using? 1024x600 is a pretty odd resolution
