Hi all,

I'm doing some t-shirts for BlackCoin  ( opening up a crypto only t shirt store ) and you'll be able to pay in BlackCoin for them. I'm wondering where are there BlackCoin digital assets?

If you have some personal designs pm me , or post here I suppose. I can create a t-shirts around them. Thanks!

Please post this on the Blackcoin Subreddit page. I'll be a sure customer for any t-shirt with a Blackcoin logo.

I shall do this when I get the first batches up and running . Thanks for the feedback!

have a look at this, seems to be a capable designer, maybe you can use some of that: https://www.nm.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/3b906b/blackcoin_train_wallpaper_release_1/
For the "normal" logos etc. the subreddit should be the best choice, there is no "central collection" iirc.

Any idea on pricing/shipping costs yet, and/or any limitations on areas you ship to?

Hey Subtuppel,

I'm going to reach to him/her the only thing is I couldn't get the link above to work.  I'll check out the subreddit and do a post asking what logo assets/or other assets they may have good idea.  I'm not entirely sure on price but between $20-$25 shipping should be included in that price if in U.S , overseas ( ship anywhere basically )  add another $10 I believe though to the price. I'll double-check everything. Of course, you'll be able to buy them with BlackCoin which is why I'm doing this to begin. Thanks for the response! more to come.

edit: private message me people if you have a personal design you want done and I can see what I can do.

thanks for the answer.

Universities getting funded to the tune of $3M USD to do research on cryptocurrencies and smart contracts
tax dollars at work, guess they never heard of blackhalo  Grin

Focus on smart contracts

The initiative will devote resources to developing new systems that enable expanded transaction scalability, privacy and user functionality. Smart contracts will be a major focus of the initiative, building on prior work by University of Maryland researchers.

One such project is Hawk, a blockchain system that enables private smart contracts to be written but not disclosed to the public. Developed jointly by Cornell and the University of Maryland, Hawk was unveiled in early June and will see further refinement and development as the IC3 project commences, according to Shi.

The work builds off previous efforts conducted at the University of Maryland last fall, during which time faculty and students formed a smart contracts laboratory to explore potential issues and opportunities. A research paper on that initiative can be found here.

One of the major findings, according to Shi, was that “it is extremely easy to make mistakes programming smart contracts”. This, she explained, raises the risk that funds can be irretrievably lost or diverted by “a selfish counterparty” as a result of such an error.

“This is where we can greatly benefit from formal program analysis techniques,” she said.

From what i understand doesnt Blackcoin and blackhalo already address the issue of a selfish counterparty?

1. yes it is working
2. why?

1. i once tried to run blackhalo and it didn't work. maybe i didn't run it correctly...
I will try again and report
is it suppose to be marketplace+smart contracts ? i didn't find the source code of blackhalo, only binaries... should opensource it for trusting it.

2. scary because it is always scary to invest big in something Wink high risk to lose a lot. or gain a lot

I do like this coin since start because of the way rat4 managed the perfect launch, and other technical issues. and his code so good. but still i never invested alot

1. BlackHalo is not OpenSource (yet), i am not sure what exactly davids plans are in that regard. As soon as only the idea had been announced back then, scam coins which promised everything Halo could do were "produced" and I think he feared that all his work would just be copied/stolen in order to scam people. The "trust issue" with closed source is a problem I see too, though.
Maybe you should as david via our subreddit, i am sure he will address your concerns.

2. That goes basically for everything where money is involved, only advice is: better be careful and never risk what you cannot afford to lose completely. You never know what will happen, not many expected BLK to be "dumped" as it has been, but again that goes for almost everything in crypto. Not many people would have expected LTC to hit 1.30 USD or BTC to hit the 160,- USD range again as well....

ive been looking into potential investments and having done research have bought a few Bitcoins worth of Bitbay. I see its the coin David Zimbeck is in charge of and I see he is creating the 1st decentralized market for the 2 Halo coins (blackcoin and Bitbay). So these two coins at this point will have the same "add-ons". So i am correct in saying both coins should have the same marketcap in theory? Also if Bitbay is Davids coin surly it should be higher in marketcap than Blackcoin as Davids work has made Blackcoin what it is and Bitbay is his coin!?, as apose to him just working on projects for Blackcoin!

I would be interested what peoples opinions are on this. Im not trying to cause an trouble or wind up the blackcoin community its a genuine question . . . . .

If you want to credit a single person, only rat4s work has made BLK what it is, david develops stuffs that requires a fully developed, working coin. He has close to nothing to do with the development of the coin itself.

Bitbay does not "deserve" a similar market cap for the simple reason that it is a pure clone coin AND has no "coin developer" at all who could improve the technology behind it (David did admit that very frankly several times.). BlackHalo is a great piece of software but a tool like Halo is also something that is very different from the mechanics that make a coin work in the first place.
BTW, Before David took over BitBay started not only as a 100% clone coin with nothing unique to it but was intentionally created as a vehicle for a big ICO scam.

I own a lil bit of both but unlike BitBay I have the feeling that BlackCoin is at a standstill, I don't even know whether there is ANYTHING going on behind the scenes right now. If they are however still working on BlackCoin it has potential to become a top 3 coin....
You should take a look at the official github repository and check the commits. PoS 3.0 is in development, release date has not been announced yet though. There's also still a lot of "side projects" going on but it is certainly not the time of the year where you can expect lots of activity.

Let me just jump in here. If your going to bad mouth other coins at least make what you say correct or you sound like a child. bitbay wasn't created as an ICO scam.

Most of the news about BLK is usually found at the subreddit page, not here.

There are a number of developers working on BLK right now.  Firsthand, I know The Black Chamber is still working on Project Legionnaire / Stealth Wallet Obsidian that uses custom stealth pseudonyms.  Github is a also good place to see rat4 at work.

A big development recently was Janko33's completion of black-chain.info.  Many things will be possible or much easier now for devs.   https://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/3exjl0/announcing_blackchaininfo/

It was, in fact it was back then one of the biggest scams in the altcoin-crypto history, then easily surpassed by Garza and his minions. If I really wanted to talk bad about BitBay there would/could be a lot more detail, but it does not belong here and I don't care anyways. If there had not been a question why BitBay is not "at the same level" as BLK i would not have mentioned it.

None of our community members talks about other coins (in this thread) unless someone takes it to here from "outside" and we reply something.

Do you really expect anyone to recommend you some Ponzi-Sites? I certainly won't.

Easiest way to get BLK would be by retailer, exchange or shapeshift.io, check our subreddit, all relevant information is linked in the sidebar.

Anyone know how to remove unconfirmed transactions from the wallet? I have a bunch on staking transaction that were generated but not accepted over the past couple of days and would like to remove them.

Also, I have coin blocks that range in last staked dates from last week all the way to May 2014. I figured some of these would have staked by now, especially the blocks from last year. Is this anyway to increase the stake priority of the block? They all seem to be set to "highest" already.

I'm wondering if there is any way to force the staking mechanism to stake certain coin blocks ahead of others, especially when the coins are much older in terms of coin age?

I don't understand why I have many coin blocks (~42,000 coins in total) that last staked between 2 months (June 2015) to 1 year (May 2014), according to what's showing in coin control.  Sad
