Still here Smiley

Okay, so kopam, i agree, we need a work group on this coin, and stuff is defenitely happening, it just takes longer the way we are doing it now. In my view the following has to happen:

1) Choose a (new?) logo
http://blackcointalk.com/index.php?topic=218.0

It's important to have the right logo and the right view for our coin. Before we do ANYTHING else we need to agree on the logo, since it is our defining thing within the AltCoin market, and if we are going to change it, it will be ONCE and that's it. The logo has to be right, and as oldmarsch explains over here http://blackcointalk.com/index.php?topic=218.msg365#msg365 - there is room for improvement.

- If anyone wants to add to the designs currently listed in the blackcointalk topic, please drop your design here.
- I think we are going to do a 2nd vote after the first one to weed out the 'crappy' designs that are currently in there.

2) Make a new (WordPress) website

I love WP. Still, we need a new website, that much is clear over the past week(s). It was setup quick and dirty just to actually HAVE a website and I have tried to make it look more appealing, the current theme is sucky, to say the least. What we are looking for is a modern website with all the information needed for explaining the coin to the general public.

- I'm looking for writers for the articles.
- I'll look into the WP design myself since so far (since the bounty went up last week) no one has given a WP option. (still good work blade87).

3) Start promoting the Multi-Pool

Well, the Multi-Pool is what WILL define us as an altcoin right now. An unmineable coin made mineable again. Crazy idea and it WILL get more interest in this coin!.

--------------------

People that want to help, are professional, and have been trusted in the past week by me or others can PM me, i'll setup a skype group chat.

i'm pushing the multipool to all the chats, that i'm on. Got at least 25 M/h to commit to it beyond my own 8 M/h when it comes online.

It would be a good idea to set a bounty for logo and website and invite people that have demonstrated skills in these fields within these forums.

Yes and yes, it's as easy as copying or moving it to a USB then moving it back to appdata.

Only way to steal your coins is to get your private key, it's usually stored in wallet.dat with your transaction data and such. If you want the best security you'd export the private key on a PC with no internet connection and print it to a dumb-printer(Printer that can't access the internet and doesn't store printer jobs) and keep the paper with the private key in a water and fireproof safe untill you need your wallet again.

But a USB-key is fine too.

I kinda prefer the other 3D gold one to be honest. This one is too blocky. It's cool to see all the work and passion people are putting into the logo I think we'll come up with a badass logo here soon.

hey guys and gals
so im thinking the idea of a multipool is a great idea but without some serious wedge its not gonna happen so here is my suggestion..
this coin is great, yes but we all want to see some value to it so here it is

BLACKCOIN multipool (on a budget)

quite simple i am going to create a worker that will mine at middle coin. these guys multipool and turn coins into btc which is paid directly to the btc wallet. im going to use these guys because i know it works and its easy for people to direct miners

the profits from people directing miners to this cause will go directly to buying up blackcoin on whichever excahange is cheapest.
you will be able to check to the blackcoin address and the bitcoin address so you will see that im not a scammer or wanting to do this for my own gain but purely because i believe in the coin and i think this will put value to it.

what to do with the coins once we have them? well im very willing to hand them over to the devs when they need them but really the idea is just to amass a stock pile which will 1. create rarity 2. keep trade flowing into this coin 3. have a fund to build a real multipool which does just this therefore creating value to the coin.

now i know people are going to be skeptical so im happy to take votes over time with what to do with the coins and see what this great community thinks.

so you dont even have to mine here if you dont want to but you could always have this a failover if your pool of choice go's down.

i havent spoken to the devs yet about this but i think its a great idea. it will start off slow but in time this will create a greater value in the coin

i will set it up and get all the info you need to check and see whats going later on today.

What's the difference between this and a blackcoin multipool? Except more manual work and increased fees.

Well this is very true. It doesn't have to change you can keep this method if people don't want a more professional set up. Do you think it's a good idea?

Meh, they said they got something in the works with announcement on Wednesday. I'd rather wait and see what we have in store. I think we have good people on the case.

If, for some unknown reason the multipool doesn't launch then it's of course an alternative. It's very tedious and requires a lot of trust, it won't be very attractive but it will work.

I like dedicated BC pool because it will give constant buy support for coin.
Middle coin like other multipools are ok but it took time to get reputation same will be with BC pools.
Sometimes is better do manual exchange becouse you avoid mistakes like eg.
Trademybit mined HEX for 2days and price dropped to 0... their script blocked and they were mining 2days while price was 0...
and their script stuck shows 10sat price... LOL Cheesy

Well worth mining Pot for BC at the moment,
Still very impressed with Bc's speed on transactions, AUR is the worst i have found takes about 4 days from mining to exchange  Shocked.
