I do not want at all to be a part of this if it's scrypt-n.
Scrypt ASICS are a lie. 100% an absolute LIE. Still reading? If you stopped reading already you are in your turtle shell full of shit. If you're still with me, THERE CAN BE NO SUCH THING as a Scrypt "ASIC" BECAUSE YOU STILL NEED EXPENSIVE FAST RAM WHICH IS WHY GPU'S ARE EXPENSIVE.
The "Scrypt-n" thing is a SCAM in itself. This coin is dead as shit and the LAST POSSIBLE SECOND change to -n proves that the people running this are complete morons that know nothing about how all this actually works.
Stick your heads out of your boxes and smell the clean air. If you keep shitting where you live you won't have a house for long.
Idiots.
Edit: forgot to ask: exactly how many more launches do you plan to do?
I agree there is no such thing as a Scrypt ASIC. Nobody has ever seen one. However, if you send me BTC I promise I'll ship you one. LOL Of course there is... flooded the Chinese 2 weeks back, and no its not one of those pay via BTC for pre-order nonsense. These are reputed sellers on AliExpress with all the usual pay by credit cards and refund if the product not doing what it says it does, etc. For rigs pics, check out http://www.aliexpress.com/item/100-new-original-Large-quantity-please-contact-Bq2057-bq2057w-bq2057wsn-sop8/992473950.html

Sapphire 7950, solid as a rock hasn't got the highest hashing rate but the low power consumption and manufacturing quality of these cards do it for me. Never over heat even in different setups and runs for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever..........

Anyone else notice a few things about the email? Originally he said he would be sending it out, along with text to confirm refunds.
* Any mention of refunds was missing * Any mention of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th launches being failures were missing. Just that it didn't go quite as planned.
Facts:
* Since IPO closed, owner has changed the design of the coin
* Many IPOs invested because it was a Scrypt coin, many want out because it is now ScryptN
* First and Second launches were complete failures
* Owner is ignoring IPOs
* The recent email only demonstrates the owner's complete lack of understanding cryptocurrency - do you really want this guy leading the way on this coin?
* Several of us are still waiting for refunds

I only tossed in a couple days' earnings that I was willing to lose, .5btc. I'm more upset at the blatant ignorance of the guy and the attitude he's giving many IPOs, and how poorly he planned and executed. You always need someone to spearhead issues, I'm just taking this one up because of how dumbfounded I am about this guy. Plus I live near his neighborhood, which makes it easier for any sort of legal issues to be dealt with. The original concept of GPU Coin was very stout, but then he changed his gameplan, part of his business plan, the coin design and some other stuff after IPO closure, and just hours before launch. Who in their right mind does any of that? He was advised by senior and experienced individuals on this board to NOT do that prior to launch because it would screw things up. And here we are, 200 pages of his clusterfuck, without so much as a functional node or wallet. At this point, I would wager the coin will never have 1/10th the value it may have had if things had gone smoothly. The only thing right about this venture is the logo, he got the logo right. It looks nice. Anyone else notice a few things about the email? Originally he said he would be sending it out, along with text to confirm refunds.

Nope. Read it again. I stand corrected, it was mentioned at the very end. Thank you.

7 hour ago I receive this email because I asked for a refund:
" And just like the previous e-mail, I need a wallet address to send the refund to. Please provide it and I will send the BTC back"
Then I sent my wallet address (they are able to avoid this step, because they know the sender address of each IPO investor) , but until now, I didn't receive nothing in my walllet....

I've just woke up and been sending all the refunds to the people who wish it, but a vast majority of the e-mails are still very excited. Sorry to see some of you go, but it's your loss other IPO's gain.

This attitude reminds me of Mt.Gox.

I am under the assumption GPUCoin must issue refunds even if they are requested after the Sunday launch. There is no window where an investor must request the refund - some of us are busy and will not be able to get to it for a little while. They cannot argue that the offer of refunds is no longer valid because they succeeded in actually launching it. I for one am busy and will be out of town and in the case I want a refund will not be able to file for it for a few days.

AFAIK GPUCoin is not requesting a signed message from the wallet address that the coins were sent from - just that you provide the address.... whatever - seems a bit odd to me that he can post here but not just send his BTC address. Rather than bitch here he should send an email stating the issue and that he will send the information when he returns. Pretty sure Jaymes will accept it as long as it is plausible

Jaymes responded to my request for a refund, and I have sent him my wallet address. I will update once he provides the return.
As I have stated many times, I wish I could stay in, but I've lost all faith in the operator of this venture. This is despite a decent profit I could've made reselling the IPO. Good luck to all, I do hope you all get what you want out of it.
Update - Refund received

I am really just pointing out a technicality which is there is no immediate time limit on getting a refund. A refund was offered and I have time before I sit down and request my refund along with a lengthy letter explaining the reasons for doing so. (if I decide on a refund, there is no stipulation that a refund must be decided on or requested immediately)

At least write him a letter explaining that you plan to get a refund so he can distribute the coins assigned to you amongst the other IPO members. Just because he did not say you have to request your refund before the launch it kind of makes sense that it should be. I would say once he sends out the coins any IPO members who want and refund should not expect much. Just my thoughts.

You want the best of both worlds. If this sunday the price skyrockets you will not ask for a refund. I guarantee that.
