Just came back from trying my GPUs on my other computer, and even though vertminer was running on that computer with integrated graphics, it didn't work with my 290x's.

Really disappointing, but it looks like I won't be mining this coin, and I don't know why. Had been really looking forward to it since it was announced weeks ago. Guess I will be buying it.

Installed AMD SDK?

I did. Sad I'll try installing the latest one, since I installed it in December.

Have you tried a complete driver uninstall/reinstall. (Just using the uninstall program that comes with the driver is not enough)

I actually reinstalled the whole operating system. But did use my old SDK file, since I knew that one worked perfectly with my other miners.

This is probably a better question in a different thread but...
Anyone with 7870's and/or the nice gigabyte 280x's please share your thread concurrency (tc) and intensity? I've been trying everything it seems, just wondering if anyone found magic.

For my Asus 7870's I'm using tc 2048 and I 11 or 12, getting about 120-130 khash which feels about 50 low.

For my gigabyte 280x (rev 2, the new black one) I'm trying all kinds of the recommended tc and keep getting hw errors. 8193, 4096 mucho hw errors and few accepts.
Any ideas?

Sapphire 280's:

"intensity" : "13",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"kernel" : "scrypt",
"lookup-gap" : "2",

didnt think sdks were needed after a certin catalyst issue think 13.2 as sdk comes with these days. what drivers you running beta 14.2 fooked my pc crashes and twaks bsod rsod u name it. with 13.12 im good and the gpu tweaks every block but dosent crash meaning im tiptoes away from crashing

It's a big SCAM! Why don't the creators of this this coin set a price for the gpu's x coins before they hit the exchanges that way the value of each coin is already set. think about it for a minute... price per coin already set and when it hits the exchanges no problem. otherwise we are mining for what? they could end up telling us you will need ten thousand coins for just one 270x where as I'm only mining 5 coins a day with 3x 280x's. I don't get. or is it only me that see's this?Huh  Huh
the lower price of the videocard in GPUC - the higher price of GPUCoin in BTC (or dollars). The higher price of GPUCoin in BTC (or $) - the more videocards the company can buy. The more videocards it can buy - the lower price of the videocard in GPUC. Etc around.
It's possible at the second round (after shipping first batch) the price of 1 GPUC will be 0.1btc

Yeah,,,it's only you that see's this.

Because of the backing of a store front with physical items for sale there should be a high volume trading for this coin. But that is only half of the equation. The half that most new shitcoins don't have. The other half is network difficulty. The more hash, the rarer the coin, the more value. Instant hashrate isn't the only factor in that either tho. Long term, increasing hashrate is. That's why the store won't open for a couple weeks, to encourage more mining and coin value. As long as the IPO holders and big farms don't dump at low prices, this coin has potential to be a huge success. A hash is only worth so much, no matter the popularity of a coin. By my quick, off the hip calculations, a sustained difficulty of 20 to 25 after block rewards start should allow market to maintain a price of .000001BTC to .00000075BTC. I think that should be a absolute minimum target range for this coin. Of, course we are all hoping for a higher price but this would be only possible with an increased difficulty level.
Anyone have any additional thoughts? Or better calculation of estimated market value?

the things is if like all other coins once it hits the market it will be at a high value but after a couple of days that value will decrease and continue to dos so. just like every other coin. because there is another coin coming out every five minutes at the moment. specially now with the markets doing soo badly.

Hey, it's working.

I tried these settings.

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
COLOR 0A
vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://gpu.oakpool.com:3355 -u j23a.1 -p x -I 12 --thread-concurrency 6000 -d 0 --

gpu-platform 1 -w 256 -I 13 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 900 --thread-

concurrency 8193 -g 2 --auto-fan --lookup-gap 2

I just changed the memclock from 1500 to 900

I'm getting 132 kh/s, and I imagine that's low for two 290x, but I don't care. I'm just glad it's working.

Thank you for everyone who helped. I honestly truly appreciate it.

don't you get it? This coin can be different. Market will drop? Of course. But as long as everyone mines, and saves coins for a card/gpu, or other product from the store, the price will stabilize and find its place in the world. Not die, like all the new shitcoins coming out every day. Only one dumping coins in large quantities should be the CEO, to buy more stock for the store. This coins success could start a new trend that is the point of all cryptos, not a quick buck, but the ability to use the coin to barter for real world products and services.

Someone may have already asked but how much dram memory do you have installed? Also try removing the -d 0 tag from your config file If you have onboard graphics go into the device manager and disable it uless your using it to run your monitor.

@ waltsmith

How many people all over the world will be mining for this coin in the hope that they will get a gpu from it? and where in the line of back orders do you think you will end up?
