I am under the assumption GPUCoin must issue refunds even if they are requested after the Sunday launch. There is no window where an investor must request the refund - some of us are busy and will not be able to get to it for a little while. They cannot argue that the offer of refunds is no longer valid because they succeeded in actually launching it. I for one am busy and will be out of town and in the case I want a refund will not be able to file for it for a few days.
Sooooooo - you have access to a computer to post here but cannot send an email with the refund request. Da Fuq? Yup. I am a busy man. I am really just pointing out a technicality which is there is no immediate time limit on getting a refund. A refund was offered and I have time before I sit down and request my refund along with a lengthy letter explaining the reasons for doing so. (if I decide on a refund, there is no stipulation that a refund must be decided on or requested immediately) This seems pretty selfish dude. At least write him a letter explaining that you plan to get a refund so he can distribute the coins assigned to you amongst the other IPO members. Just because he did not say you have to request your refund before the launch it kind of makes sense that it should be. I would say once he sends out the coins any IPO members who want and refund should not expect much. Just my thoughts. Sure. I will write a letter when I can. Regardless, I just wanted to make clear that anyone who wants a refund should be entitled to one even if they request it after the next launch. Even if the next launch was succesful investors are still entitled to refund - the entire business could have been negatively impacted by the first two. If the owner did not want this he should run his business more clearly. The dev tried to do an immediate relaunch after the second one failed. No one would argue that if that launch succeeded people would have not been eligible to a refund because the second one did not. The dev needs to slow down, find someone with actual business experience, and be a little more careful about the whole operations. Rushing things to try and fix problems generally causes more problems.

You do know some people do not check their email every day? Some people will not get around to requesting refunds or even thinking about it for days.

You want the best of both worlds. If this sunday the price skyrockets you will not ask for a refund. I guarantee that. I am just pointing something out. I am not intending on playing the system like that, I will either request a refund or not. I just think things need to be ran in a more professional manner. This business needs to hire people with better business sense, or this type of thing (these incompetences) will destroy this business.

This is why things should be communicated clearer. The dev never said there would be a time limit. Rushing things causes problems. I actually asked about the refund thing a couple days with no answer from Owner or anyone representing GPUCoin. Only after not getting an answer I made a post about my assumptions. Would it not be better to get this resolved before it becomes an issue?

You cant go to a game then ask for a refund when your team loses. Either way you need to give the CEO advance notice so he can calculate the rest of our shares.

You cant go to a game then ask for a refund when your team loses. Either way you need to give the CEO advance notice so he can calculate the rest of our shares. But that is just not how the system is set up. There has to be a time window set on refunds - clearly established and communicated if there is in fact a time window. There has to be a way to deal with the situation which will arise when someone waits too long to request a refund since no time window was communicated. I have been trying to say this for a couple of days now. Using you analogy this is like going to a game where you are guaranteed a refund if the Parakeets lose their first round and then telling people they in fact cannot get a refund because a second round had already started.

Yes, and if you where to go to any actual business such as a sporting event the conditions for refund would be clearly stated. Unfortunately no conditions where stated, they just guaranteed refunds, which is why I am bringing this up.

Been busy with some new coin launches today, that also had problems with the amount of miners at launch messing things up. With regards to the IPO and the recent email. Thanks for the contact. we appreciate you are busy.
I am looking forward to the relaunch, however many its been it doesn't matter as long as a launch happens. If the people want out of the IPO, i am sure there are people who will buy their share. i might even consider it.
Cheers,
M

I would say once he sends out the coins any IPO members who want and refund should not expect much. Just my thoughts. He's just trying to make a point - but his logic is flawed. Until GPUcoins are issued to the IPO participants there is the possibility of a refund in BTC. Once the GPUcoins are issued then the deal is done and the coins will be available for him to pick up. Just because he elects not to provide a wallet address and collect his funds means nothing. He could request a refund in BTC if the value of GPU are not to his favor, but basic accounting requires that a conversion of GPU to BTC be completed the going rate at the time of the refund. This is basic accounting. It is also the only way for the IPO distribution to be apportioned correctly. In fact, nothing prevents the CEO from placing a market order with his coins at the time a refund is requested and issuing a refund based on the proceeds thereof. You may wish to reconsider your strategy in light of the foregoing illicki23.

Someone from the dev team of GPUcoin post something in this thread today? I need to know when they will send my IPO refund...
I have traded a few emails with the CEO. He had converted BTC to cash via coinbase in order to purchase the GPUs, he has since done a transaction to convert cash back into BTC on coinbase, but as most of us know it does take some time for Coinbase to deposit BTC into your wallet. Next Tuesday is the target date so far. Also, at the time I was communicating with him he was at 4.68 BTC in refund requests.
