Unless the plan is to take all these payments, CC, PP or otherwise, wait till the end of the month for the money to come in, then withdraw the funds and scarper.

Yes people are covered by the CC company and PP but the damage will be done to the ability of genuine companies to try and use those payment methods, the more companies rip off the payment processors the higher the fees for the rest of us + another nail in the credibility of Bitcoin.

I hope it works out, I really do, especially for your CYPER.

But I also would be interested in buying from stock like BITMAIN are doing and support a UK company.

I'm just highly suspicious that they changed their tune, all they needed to do was wait till they had the hardware. Its no biggie. I can't think of a single non-shady reason for them not to wait till they had stock before selling.

Just received an email from Chris regarding our rights as bitcoinultra customers. Its not exhaustive but its exactly what I was hoping for. This is in a response to a mail I sent over the weekend asking about my rights.

Of course saying something and then doing that are very different things.

I have asked to him if he is happy with me sharing the information in the email and when the go a head is given will post it up.

I also asked about and estimated time frame that we could expect pictures.

Still I think it would serve him far better to come on here and participate as delivering  important communications to a customer base should not be by word of mouth in my opinion.

Personally feeling a little more hopeful and will just have to see this develop.

I'm confused, if these are rights every customer has why not put them on the web site?

As to rights, how do they differ from our regular consumer rights as provided by law in the UK and EU?

Make me laugh how people think they have consumer rights in the UK.

A limited company is just that, LIMITED IN LIABILITY, you cannot sue the people running it, just the company assets, what's the value of the assets?  Wink

He said yes so here you are. Sorry for horribad format did not want to dick about with it.

------------------------------------------

Yes you can share any information with the community. We will be taking full board photos and also some production videos on Wednesday / Thursday this week.

We are just trying to clear the backlog of enquiries that have come in over the weekend. I will also post some information in the forum later, and from next week with have a dedicated marketing person starting who will keep the community updated on a daily basis.

If you wish to cancel your order the "Official" method would be in writing but we are happy to accept confirmation of this by email. We will only refund you back to the same payment method you used during checkout (in your case credit card). It takes upto 3 days for the money to be refunded back to your card issuer.

If you wished to return your product we would issue you with a pre-paid return label for City Link UK, You would then need to contact them to arrange a time for collection.
All our miners come with a 3 month warranty as standard which covers all the hardware supplied, we are in the process of recruiting a new member of staff who will be covering all pre-sales and after sales support

its more faith in the Credit card companies tbh which i am really hoping is not misplaced.

I would certainly not pay with btc at this stage but if things work out in a month or two would maybeeeee consider it.

@ Biffa the only reason I mailed him was to make sure we got this information. Its something a company is meant to do if you have the right to cancel. However if you don't have that right (yes there are some reasons you would not and I was concerned about a particular loophole) then the company is not obliged to inform you of this.

So TLDR: asked for information and he gave it to me and I now have a record of it for myself I believe that essentially yes I have the right to cool off.

Why this information is not already on the website? Ask Chris as it should be available to all customers.

Guy probably hates me but I just don't want to get screwed again.

Still until sufficient evidence pictures (mining porn) turn up it should be assumed we have paid for vaporware.

Doubt very much that he hates you. The tone of the email came off more to me like, "Oh, damn, there's another detail we missed". He didn't hedge. That's good.

Frankly, they are seeming more legit to me by the day. Of course, that and five bucks will get you a latte, so take it for what it's worth Cheesy

Actually, it's no worry. IIRC, he said it was just the case and they'd show the rest in a few days.

As for the fat frog, well, I'm just glad I didn't get caught. Sympathy for you guys Sad

I hope you are right my friend, personally I took a risk with KNC, three times, twice its paid off so far. Bitmain have had the right idea the entire time from my perspective. I'd be all over anyone who can provide 1TH miners in stock for BTC delivered in a week max.

For a UK supplier all I ask is the above, and that we don't get ripped to death on overblown profits. I worked in import/export my entire working life, I have resold other manufacturers products and made my own in the UK, I know what it costs and what it takes to run a business. So I know when I'm being shafted. I know there are risks but there are acceptable risks and unacceptable ones.

this more and more sounds like BS.
If i'd launch my own miners, the first thing i'd do would post actual pics of it. duuuuh

Yeah, he'd said the pic was of an empty box and that they'd post more pics of the hardware when on site... but that was Friday and now it's been pushed to Wednesday/Thursday when it's apparently just down the road... I was quite confident in the beginning, but now I'm not sure... Undecided

Yep its still vaporware make no mistake. Sure there are lots of signs that we can take to be good signs but it does not detract from the fact that its vaporware until evidence suggests otherwise ie in depth pictures.

If we wait till Thurs then get more pictures of blue box and cant see the boards, dont have vid,s of them hashing, cant see a stack of asci chips then the whole thing as far as I'm concerned is a scam.

Chris needs to get it right this week not next week or the week after. There are no excuses that we as a community will find acceptable.

"Hey guys look at the news papers a plane crashed into our warehouse give me another day"

Us : " no get your phone and go into the burning wreckage find the chips or parts of them and show us pictures"

No one has time for bullshit excuses any more in fact no one has time for very real excuse's anymore.

First I was thinking they are really not making Pre-orders. But then now. Its a Pre-Order. No pictures of real miners nor immediately shipping from stock. Wow, another PR Earthquake Godzilla thing. Sorry guys, good luck for the customers. Exciting bet!
