Early Thursday morning, Lee announced on Reddit that he had sold his entire LTC balance and donated the proceeds to further the development of the cryptocurrency that he originally created in 2011 and now develops full-time.

He did this, he said, not because he no longer believed in litecoin or because he believed the price was in a bubble but rather because he exerted so much influence within the community and had the ability to move the markets through his public comments on Twitter and other public platforms.

Litecoin is still at high levels, it will go further up. Such an announcement cannot kill it. There is a big need for a crypto currency that could be used for payments and that is available on most exchanges - which is Litecoin and nothing else so far.

Anybody "investigating coinbase" might do well to look at the ex-director of engineering, Charlie Lee, who left literally the same week coinbase customer's Bitcoin Cash were withheld after fork. Any issues with the exchanges gdax and coinbase are in direct connection to this man.

Originally they floated that they may NEVER credit Bitcoin Cash to their customers claiming they abandoned their rights to it by not withdrawing before the fork! To even suggest such a thing should be reason enough to never use coinbase but they advertise too aggressively so they grow regardless. Withholding the asset for 4 & 1/2 months isn't any redemption in my mind.

Charlie's CNBC interviews were weak.

Awesome statement came from Charlie Lee which shows he has big plans for coming months. He himself said next year is going to be of Litecoin. This in itself is big hint that he surely has few things close to his chest and not showing his all cards yet. I will stay with eyes on opportunities to get cheap whenever will be possible.

The deeper the correction the stronger the charge when its over. Right now TA is useless, as BTC is in control of what LTC is doing. It seems that we've locked in to it and tried to break out yesterday but the BCash thing completely ruined the party.
Charlie Lee selling his stack is not bullish, but it's not as bearish as people think. He's an interesting dude and tries sometimes too hard to be clear and transparent (with good intentions of course), which sometimes fails him as it is seen by the general public as a bad sign or bad PR.
Ultimately, once Bcash trading goes live on GDAX and the storms settle down, we'll see actual movement and return to normal for LTC. I still see us in the $320+ area as Charlie selling his coins is not the main reason for this downside.
The current downside completely mirrors what BTC is doing, which is panicking ahead of Bcash trading.

I totally agree, been watching yesterday gdax for half a day, LTC and partially ETH mirror BTC movement candles, which mostly went down thanks to bitcoin cash. But it will only last a few days, I think.
