As much as I want to hold and purchase more litecoin at these rock bottom prices, I can't just watch my money disappear. For now, I must find more stability until this news starts to settle down a bit. For others, don't get discourage. Litecoin is a rock solid project that may come back even stronger. I don't see it falling below $100 but it may still have a way to go before an uptrend. This is all just potential for us to make more money and spend it in the shadows.

It's called litecoin... but the blockchain still grows forever.
A simple tweak to block generation is all I see for faster transactions.
So far all I've seen on alternative clients is simple tweaks. What happens if a new client actually contributes something significant and noticable..

It looks like Litecoin is falling in prices day by day. Charlie Lee is still working on its developments or ditching this already? Litecoin is still a top coin and supposedly competing against the other top coins. I hope this recovers once the whole market stabilizes.

The whole crypto market is falling. This is normal. It has nothing to do with development. Inhale. Exhale. The bull market will return. Maybe in a month, maybe in a year or two. Find something to do in the meantime. Enjoy life. Thank me later Wink

CEO of LitePay, informing that he has ceased all operations and is preparing to sell the company.

https://litecoin-foundation.org/2018/03/announcement-on-litepay/

Is this really true? I wonder who will agree to buy it and how soon it will happen

Yes it's true. There is nothing of worth to buy. Nobody needs it.

I see, thank you. And what about those who already bought tokens?

Sadly the people who already bought the tokens, you got caught in a pump and dump scheme while Charlie Lee was hyping it with the fake LitePay stuff. Don't worry it's not his fault, he sold all his Litecorns a long way ago at the ATH.  Wink

Those people have Litecoins. You trying to tell me there were people who bought Litecoins just so they could use them exclusively on LitePay? Strange...

That's like someone buying a motorcycle just to race on a specific racetrack. And then that track never opens. And they're asking themselves what will they do with the bike, since they can't ride it. Completely ignoring all the millions of km of roads around the world...

I can proudly say that this project will work and it will be successful because it is  useful to the people who are having a hard time of choosing other services that are of poor quality and not affordable.
That's at least something positive emerged, and everywhere only negative writing. I am pleased to see the confidence in the project. This is the most powerful thing a person, but otherwise without faith it is not worth investing, and so in any case. I will say to the hand, that this project will not die as long as there is a market cryptocurrency. Perennial community and extensive experience will further your cause.

The facts are all true. Charlie did promote LitePay, LitePay turned out to be fake. He sold all his Litecoins (some of them at the ATH).

If you don't look at the big picture it can seem like a deliberate pump and dump scheme. I don't think it was, but some people see it that way.

yes its all true that chalie sold all of his coins at all time high
because when chalie sell his all the litecoins then the lite coin value start dump till now
right now the value is 124$ and i think it was more then 300$ when he sold
now litepay news impact negative on litecoin and take its price more down

I think you have a strange understanding about LitePay. The didn't launch their own new token. The token you are talking about is Litecoin. The coin launched in 2011.

It can be sold on every major exchange. There is a ton of businesses accepting Litecoin as payment.

Well, LitePal seems to have an eminent future, since Litepay is pushing up daisies. I read this on reddit.

litepal_reddit 32 points 4 days ago*
My name is Edin Jusupovic and I'm the founder of LitePal.
LitePal is a registered business and trademarked in Australia at present. I will admit that serious mistakes were made, like deploying an empty website with no policies or further information, it was reckless, negligent and bad - for this I apologize. These actions are in no way a representation of the company or what users should expect from LitePal in the future.

LitePal was not scheduled to launch this early, in-fact when LitePal was first "released" to the public, we had made it clear that we would not be launching until Q2 to Q3 2018, we set this timeline up for ourselves because we knew the complexity of what was being done here. We saw and predicted the failures LitePay was experiencing, promptly seizing the opportunity to push out development as fast as possible to meet and saturate the hype LitePay left behind.

LitePal is not a scam, we have no need to scam. LitePal already has a number of assets in the way of proprietary infrastructure that would have cost a great amount of money for developers to produce for us.

LitePal has some of the best in an array of industries working with us, we're still in a transitioning process but rest assured, when these faces do pop up and they will very soon, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I code in a few different programming languages, namely C, JS, and NodeJS, coincidently I also happen to specialize in cybersecurity, which was one of the reasons why I began LitePal -- protecting digital assets like cryptocurrency requires extreme precision and skill.

The accusations about malware development and such are just personal attacks at best; I specialize in cybersecurity and hold certifications in that field, these accusations are screenshots to non-existent sites and that's about it.

An official statement will be made soon about some things so keep a watch out on our official feeds and again, I apologize if LitePal came off as a scam, we will prove ourselves in time, that I know for sure.

below $100? this will never happen again and it would never be permitted by us. More people  are both involved and participate in mining and this is the price-safe for LTC.

Yes of course probably can fall also below this price why it cannot because someone wanted simply. In this market can raise the price up and lower strongly down. Both the manipulator probably will want and will be. Even probably mining low prices perhaps, but can be there will be it short and the price will quickly go up at once.
