which happens to cryptocurrency without bitcoin, I think there will be fewer investors, and will probably have a bad impact on altcoin prices. bitcoin is like a mother, which is the inspiration for other altcoin.
and I think it's possible that another altcoin will replace bitcoin, because altcoin like ethereum keeps rising. but do not know if bitcoin is lost, cryptocurrency will be more interesting or not.
Absolutely No, because of bitcoin crypto world became famous around the world and if bitcoin is gone, crypto will end up badly, maybe it can stay around 1 to 2 years but it will go down. Because no one will invest on it, most of the investors in crypto invest in bitcoin and if bitcoin is gone also the investors will gone.
This is a great argument indeed. In terms of seniority bitcoin exist more than the other coin and this what makes the other coins dependent to it. Moreover there are more people who believes more on bitcoin rather than the other coins because of its potential in the market, and that is one of the advantage of bitcoin. Bitcoin has a lot more difference with other coin, so i firmly believe that bitcoin is the reason why there is still cryptocurrency.

And that's why it will last longer. It's much more secure than the altcoins are because it can't be hacked into or taken over by a majority purchase as easily. It's already being integrated into the existing financial system (which may not necessarily be a good thing, but we'll see) and has more use than other coins in terms of transactions and payments. It's got a huge network of supporters and people trying to use it for innovative new concepts. And it's got a forum named after it.

All this excitement over altcoins isn't worth the energy. Altcoins are just balloons, some inflating much more than others, but all eventually floating back down into nothing. The only ones that will survive are the ones that have real world uses.

I mean Why bitcoin? Why waste huge energy in mining. As everyone know bitcoin is useless in terms
of usability.
My question to bitcointalk users :

Is this possible that any altcoin become no 1 on coinmarketcap and bitcoin disappeare

I think this can be possible, what you think so comment below...

I think cryptocurrency can survive without bitcoin but it will be a difficult path ahead. Since it's been a big part or cryptocurrencies, it will continue to work but there will be a missing part and that'll make cryptocurrency incomplete.

Of course. Cryptocurrency doesn't just revolve around bitcoins. It is led by bitcoins but I doubt that it will ever come a time that without bitcoins, the rest won't survive. Litecoin, ethereum, and bitcoin cash had made a name for themselves and probably in the future, one of them might dethrone bitcoins out of its years and years of reign.

Nope that is not possible.  All over the world most of them know about bitcoin. But they doesnt know about altcoin even Ethereum popularity also very low comparing bitcoin.  Bitcoin is very very popular coin. So without bitcoin none other crypto can survive.

Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin?

I think that can happen. but, nevertheless, bitcoin is a pioneer of cryptocurrency and still has the most stable market than any other coin. besides, bitcoin is the most influential coin, because, when you say the cryptocurrency sentence, bitcoin is what comes to people's minds.

I think crypto can stand out without bitcoin, after all crypto has made so many coins other than bitcoin. they cannot match what the bitcoin price market value before or its history  but they can get the trust of their investors just by staying still and tough than wont lose no matter what happen in the market. and they will give us so many projects that will be successful in the future. there are also a coins that has a higher value in the market and has good image from the investors and ICO companies. these are the reasons that crypto can still stand without bitcoin by the help of the other successful coins.

I think it can stand without bitcoin. bitcoin is now traded in form of assets, but in terms of usability? your right about that. EOS has huge potential to place number one in the market. in terms of speed and scalability, it leaves ethereum behind.

I think now the Cryptocurrencies have already developed quite well. The experience and foundation bitcoin that were needed to create other cryptocurrencies have already been received and now altcoins are moving in their own way. Moreover Bitcoin has an important role in the development of cryptocurrencies. Therefore, Bitcoin remains the most influential thing.

Well, for my own opinion regarding this question, my answer is Yes. Why yes? Because other crypto currencies has their own way  of life here in the crypto currency community. I know that you all know also as well as aware that the start of the crypto currency community is the existence of the Bitcoin as it is the King of all any other crypto currency but the thing that crypto currency cannot live is not the Bitcoin but the users.
There is no way the other coin will surpass bitcoin, because bitcoin has a lot of advantages. First is that bitcoin lives longer time than the other coin, and as time passes by bitcoin get more stronger. Moreover, bitcoin is the most popular coins as of this moment where more people are inclined into bitcoin. There is also a huge potential in bitcoin.

In my own opinion, Cryptocurrency can stand without Bitcoin but can't stand without the Blockchain Technology. Don't forget that Blockchain is the operating system of cryptocurrencies. Take note that Blockchain can stand without cryptocurrencies. Blockchain has more future and utilization compared to cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and is the main foundation of all cryptocurrency during the establishment stages up until now. It is very valuable as an asset and also for investment purposes. There are existing altcoins that surpasses Bitcoin in some factors but still no one can shake off the very fundamental of cryptocurrency. Most importantly, Bitcoin holders will not allow to de-throne the king of all cryptocurrencies.

Actually, bitcoin is the mainstream coin in this scene. We can even say that Bitcoin is the father of all coins because it started because of it. But yea, cryptocurrency can stand without bitcoin. But i do not know what will happen in the market scene.

Yeah it can stand without btc. But if btc will eliminate in cryptocurrency, probably it will have a big impact to the crypto world because the number 1 coin will become vanished. But like what I said, cryptocurrency can stand without the help of existence of bitcoin.

It is very difficult to imagine a world of crypto currency without bitcoin, since Blockchain is a technology based on bitcoin. But purely theoretically, I think that this is quite real.

Of course, but it's almost near impossible, because the fact is that cryptocurrency is always bound by bitcoin. so, maybe in the future we will see some altcoins that really can compete with bitcoin. it's just that we will never know when.

For now it is difficult to predict this because we must understand the origin of the altcoin other coins happened due to btc. SO if the king itself is removed then will the other be able to survive is little not a feasible at this point. Also currently after BTC , ETH is way behind in terms of market cap to even overtake btc.

in my opinion no, because the spearhead of cryptocurrency is bitcoin, if bitcoin doesn't exist then I'm sure the cryptocurreny will die. even though there are very many new altcoins currently in coinmarketcap, many of these altcoins have no potential.

I don't think so. Bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrency. Don't forget, Blockchain technology is behind this. So it is impossible to stand without Bitcoin.
