When somebody discusses cryptographic money, obviously they will state bitcoin. Bitcoin is the principal crypto that exists and has the most astounding cost and has been trusted by numerous individuals around the globe, and bitcoin turned into the lord of crypto, where different coins will move following the bitcoin value development. Bitcoin is the image of the crypto currency world and at that bitcoin is the king of crypto bitcoin being the mother coin can never be done without, couple with is high users it wrong to say bitcoin is useless in terms of usability because millions of users are still using bitcoin without any stress so bitcoin remains the number 1 in the crypto currency world.

Crypto currency can not survive without the bitcoin because bitcoin is the main and first demand in the form of pairing for trading. All the altcoin   price is calculated with the price of bitcoin. And if people buy the bitcoin then automatically demand of another coins valued also decreased and these are connected each other.

Bitcoin is the core of crypto currency.  I seriously doubt the rest of the altcoins can replace Bitcoin easily.  It takes time , though we now see that Bitcoin share of the cap market is now decreasing

Without bitcoin, none of this might started. Maybe there will be cryptocurrency or crypto world but i don't think it will be amazing like bitcoin. Bitcoin is really different to all kinds of crypto or coins. and I hope one day, one person will be able to achieve or be more, of what nakamoto did. For now, without bitcoin i don't think other altcoins can stand alone. Ethereum can be but still pursuing.

Bitcoin is the first crypyto currency made with block chain and it is much difficulty to imagine the crypto with out bitcoin

You are right regarding the energy wastage and environmental pollution, especially that created by the Chinese mining rigs using coal-generated electricity. I am sure any other environmentally friendly coin is ethically better, and several current altcoins claim efficiencies better than Bitcoin on various parameters. So, sure, as you say, Bitcoin can and should quietly go away.

But, Bitcoin has the first mover's advantage. There's a halo around Bitcoin. Bitcoin is like a religion, and it has it's faithful and it's fanatics. Can any other altcoin match that today? Or, a decade down the line?

Bitcoin already exists more than 10 years and I think that it is unlikely that any other crypto currency will replace it, since it is used by almost all crypto currency investors. Bitcoin will have to fix all current problems and you will not have to search for a replacement.
