Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin?

Crypto currency started with bitcoin as i have learned and it is in the leading position from many years accordingly many other new crypto currencies are also depended on the Bitcoin as i have observed also it is all the economy based when demand is high for any other crypto currency then we can think there could be a possibility accordingly there should be even a supply available.

I think the payment method for buying cryptocurrency on the exchange also blockchain technology is the backbone of bitcoin so that other coins cannot survive without bitcoin.
There is no cryptocurrency that cannot stand without bitcoin because bitcoin is the most useful coin than other currencies as well as people buying other altcoins from bitcoin

Because their criticisms were baseless to begin with. Even after Bitcoin is adopted on a mass level and the coin price is over 100k, people will still be bashing it.

It's been this way for years. Even now that the price is over $6k people are still criticizing Bitcoin, and all I can think is are you still this delusional? People said the same exact shit back when it was 200 bucks and they will be saying it for years to come until the complacency dies with them. If all you can see is the little window of time when it fizzed up along the way ...out of a decade of growth ...you don't deserve to be on the ride.

For so many years since its inception. Bitcoin had been the frontline of all coins and I think it will continue to be leading all. The bad market that we have experienced brought other cpins to top but has never succeeded replacing bitcoin. So I think bitcoin seems to be the measure of all if it is lost everything might just be in a chaos if cryptocurrency may continue without it.

I think this is difficult in the beginning but the next will be normal, as we know that the influence of the two biggest coins, bitcoin and ETH, is so strong that without these 2 coins altcoins are difficult to stand up, but without bitcoin in a short time it will be shocked.

I have the same thoughts as you, bitcoin is a backbone for crypto, now if bitcoin doesn't exist, I think the cryptocurrency will weaken and not be maximized. so bitcoin is part of the most important cryptocurrency.

Most of the guys that I know are involved in Bitcoin only, and if bitcoin would not be the case anymore I don't know where would they go. Because in my opinion the alternative cryptocurrencies market is so much different from Bitcoin.

Well everything is possible in the future, we cannot tell exactly what will gonna happen then but for the coming years I think no coin can replace bitcoin because it is the father of all cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin has lot more users people who has lot of money would like to invest in bitcoin but not in other coins so with out bitcoin cryptocurrency does not exists.
Blockchain is the technology behind bitcoin and it is much difficulty to exists all the other cryptocurrency with out bitcoin  and we the people don't want to imagine with out BTC.

I think crypto can stand without Bitcoin. Bitcoin has helped people see the great features of transactional and asset management of crypto. So in the future, Bitcoin may not be as strong as it is today, crypto will still be widely used because of its superiority. Today, altcoins like Euthereum or Litecoin are increasingly attracting more people to invest more money. This suggests that altcoins can keep the crypto market healthy without Bitcoin.

Big investors are not Fool enough to waste millions of dollars to mine bitcoin. If Bitcoin is useless, then there is no sense in buying altcoins because all of them are relying in bitcoin's value. Other altcoins could become number 1 in coinmarketcap because they created a huge supply but they can never defeat bitcoin's price value per coin.

We have see in the past coins who worth more than bitcoin, much more to be exact... lets remember when zcash open his market, if i'm not wrong each zcash worth close to 3000 bitcoins, and this was because there was only a small amount of zcash coins. But this doesn't mean bitcoin would disappear.

Would be hard to see an alts market  without bitcoin for one simple reason. Alts price are based in bitcoin and not in usd, that's why bitcoin is the sould of those markets, but if for some reason bitcoin disappear some day, the alts market will have to move their prices to other coins or direct to dollars, just like bitcoin do.

Right now, simple answer is no.
Basically, all alt coins follow bitcoin and basically bitcoin is now main entry point for many new users.
Maybe in the future we will have new market crypto leader, we can't know now.

Nope I don't think bitcoin will disappear and alts makes it to the no 1.It is because bitcoin is the root of cryptocurrency with blockchain technology and alts are just the twigs.People are more interested in bitcoin than those altcoins.So,no point in believing that bitcoin will dissapear.

Bitcoin is the generation of Cryprocurrency is the more reason it has full control over the Cryptoworld. But more and more blockchain technologies have evolve over time with better innovation and solution to the lapses inherent in Bitcoin (such as Neo and EOS). Thus I can say Cryptocurrency that survive without Bitcoin.
