This is a good amount for such a market, now everything is on the bottom, and some coins are on the 2nd the bottom) . My portfolio was $ 12,000 3 months ago, and today it's $ 2,400, so when the market recovers you have a great chance of turning 2000 into 10 - easily.

According to me if you want to invest about $2000 then invest in ETH or ETC. Because this two are really stable and long-term as well. The exciting news is according to some cryptovator ETC is going to add in Coinbase and naturally,
after adding in Coinbase I think ETC price will increase. So you can buy this coin hopefully you will get a good profit.

I think ethereum is the best investment option in these times. In my opinion, it has a very low price now and I think it is a very promising coin. If I had 2k, I would buy eth with a big percentage of it.

Your investment style is perfectly reasonable when not investing all in one crypto. Half of the investment in the coin and half of the investment in the ICO at the moment is not so because the ICOs during the declining exchange rate are not potential. Therefore, it should only spend about 400 dollars to invest in ICOs.

also invest in ICO is too risky now,,
so, decrease your ICO investments amount then increase your investments to the best coin,,
and i think ethereum is better than ripple and stellar my friend

I advise you to invest in ACDC with the $ 2000 you have, because I believe ACDC price will increase very high in the near future.

Those 3 coins are obviously great coins but their marketcaps are already so high. Yes those 3 coins marketcaps will continue to grow in the future but i feel more profits are to be made in smaller cap coins with big futures ahead. For me i like Kyber network , Bread token , Nuls and ARK.

I think that now it is better to buy Bitcoin than the altcoins. The Alcoquins now show a strong fall in relation to Bitcoin.

At times when the exchange rate is plunging now, investment in ICO is not something to do. You should only invest in altcoins like ETH, Stellar, Ripple, Cardano, TRON, Houbi, these are potential altcoins that are leading the market and can bring high returns if invested and hold until the end of 2018.

$2k is a bit much of a money to invest in crypto. I would suggest to put half of it to Bitcoin and the other half will be invested to other altcoins. Taking the risk in some ICO will also do but just make sure to choose the one that you think has a good future and a promising outlook.

If i has $2000 to invest, then i didn't choose any of these coins, i will only invest in Bitcoin and hold it for 4-5 months. Because after 4-5 months market will hit at another level which we never think. Still market condition in tight, so it's best time to invest.

this will depend on your target.  if you want a relatively safe investment which will give you decent profits, go for bitcoin.  if you want higher earnings, choose some good altcoins.  if you prefer extremes, go for new altcoins.  but remember, greater opprtunity comes with greater risks.  you must invest more time and effort if you choose to go the path of investing in new ico.  my suggestion is to diversify your fund into multiple projects.
