Photon is not listed on coinmarketcap.
I have a sneaking suspicion it gets relisted by this time next week with the type of volume cryptopia and c-patex are experiencing.

it is listed just market as inactive due to the cryptopia ltc/doge markets see here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/photon/

yesterday I did contact coinmarketcap both via form and via twitter dm but as the form says on submission due to large amount of updates/requests it can take upto 7 days for them to get to it

Hi ! Photon is available on LycheeBit.
Happy mining Smiley

Mining Photon with sha256 algo :

Photon is not SHA256 algo Roll Eyes

with such lack of detail have you actually tested for finding blocks?

and why would anyone mine on a solo coin pool when you could either use one of my merged pool for mining 6 coins at once or zpool too Shocked

the term used to describe the algo of 8 round blake256 is either blake256r8 also due to some specifics in software for work gen miners like ccminer it is just called blakecoin for algo *think thats same for sgminer too

Hi Dev.
Im can use asic algo blake256?

not out of the box people have to recover source files and recompile miner software with single sha256 in work gen for Baikal Giant-B no other asic is reported to work

Sorry, I made a mistake on the topic Wink

Updated the pre release wallet from the other day to normal release now since tested on win 10
https://github.com/photonproject/photon/releases/tag/0.8.9.7

someone has approached us about changing the logos
there is a pull request on git hub

this  is something i will need to consider carefully for many reasons you can read about more info on this on github  --curious what some of you think about these new images (via wikimedia commons so should be no issue wiith anyone claiming ownership of the images)

even more interested on how longer term community members feel

guys the others are here I don't want to exceed normal page length here
https://github.com/photonproject/photon/pull/15/commits/45093b44e33f8db5ef41625c9d5c7bb63df43d0a

Hi Cinamon,
I'm a lecturer in graphic design and branding. I have been teaching design and branding at postgraduate level for 12 years and undergraduate level for 20+ years. I also am a design practitioner with more than 25 years professional experience. I can give you a professional evaluation of that proposal and advise you generally in the area of brand identity (which includes logo design). However I don't wish to flood the forum with my recommendations unnecessarily. Let me know if you'd like my views on this matter.

Regards

Looks really good.  I loath micro transactions in games but this puts a pretty cool spin on it where you could mine the coin to be able to do the transactions.  Pretty neat.

I don't quite understand, how mining to a pool will give me 6 different coins. Do I need to install the 6 different wallets in order to receive mined coins or can blakecoin wallet hold photon? Additionally, will I be missing out on lithium, for example, if I were to start mining without a lithium wallet set up?

I plan to merge mine, can't wait to see what coins are added next.

Also why are people accusing bluedragon as a greedy bastard when clearly there have been 4 years of development of the coin, just look at the graph it tells the whole story...

edit:

the website seems to be down, I still need to create an account and set up a miner, last thing I got was 'investigating issues in the backend'

I did it a while back.  It didn't take too long to set up the electron, lithium, blakebitcoin, blakecoin, photon and UMO wallets.  When you mine on their pool you actually get paid in all the coins at the same time.  As of right now I think all the coins except blakebitcoin and electron can be exchanged on cryptopia for btc.  It's pretty cool how they set it all up.

yes each chain is totally independent so needs its own wallets

no algo change we are not trying to be resistant to gpu/fpga/asic

switching from pow to pos makes much more sense and would be better for the coin/price as a whole.
pow is pretty much useless for underdogs like this as there is little incentives to mine it in the first place since the coins mined doesn't even cover electricity.
pos on the other hand, people would have an incentive to hold and utilize the coin instead of merely as a trading vehicle.
I looked at the CS shop as well, and it's practically empty. I doubt there's much volume in that either.

as many coin as there are in circulation, it would be far more beneficial for both the current holders and potential new investors.
to be able to lock away a large portion away while it pays out interests and support the network at the same time.
right now if you want to trade the coins on cryptopia, the bid is 2sat, sell is 3sat. a huge 50% spread.

pandacoin (a pos coin) for example has far more coins out there, not anymore development than photon, yet the marketcap is far greater.
because people are not hurry to sell them.

pow is really getting obsolete these days for all but a few dozen coins.

Just found out about Photon.
What would it take to get on the Coinomi wallet? Couple that with a new website/roadmap - that could really put Photon on the map.
Also, once things get moving, are there any thought about a coin burn?
Just some random thoughts.

time they have backlog and I also need to sort the community out but I have been in contact with Coinomi

working on new revised roadmap and the new draft of the whitepaper is in works but does need to be approved by me and Cinnamon *with me taking charge and sorting the mess out a solid release is more likely than before

No coin burn is planned ever, I can create a burn address if people want to throw coins into oblivion out of your own pockets  Roll Eyes

Edit:
Burn Address: Photon (PHO): BaBurnXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXYHr33S
