Thanks much and to those who provided support for Photon I merged the gitpull to fix the signature issue. Will get new wallets out hopefully this weekend. Hmmmm, Honestly (I assume you are on windows) I don't have a 32 bit system so my static builds that i have released were all tested on 64 bit systems. It 'should' work on 32 bit however if I broke it I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. I will make a new build when I have time (which will require dll files) for you to try on your windows system to see if it works ok. By compiling a static wallet with qt it always possible to break something. If anyone else has any problems/ bugs/ crashes or issues with the wallet for Photon or any of the coins in the blake 256 family please let me know. All feedback /results ect is welcome since just because I test something and it works for me does not mean it will work on every computer in the world. Also do you have any problems running other coin clients on that machine like bitcoin, other alt coins ? If possible please post details on the error if available and if anything strange shows up in the debug log (located in same folder as your wallet) Thanks. Hey,

Hey, Yeah it says "photon-Qt (OSS GUI client for Bitcoin) has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconveniences" It should be cause im running a 32bit os (windows xp) but i have a ton of other wallets, and they work alright, but yeah its mostly just a request, cause i'v tried other various 64bit wallets and also most of the gui miners are 64bit only, and they all show the similar error message or fail to run. Right now my coins are on atomic-trade (recently started buying it) so im okay, but definitely when you have a chance if you can compile a 32 bit wallet that'll be great Thanks

Was thinking about this, have you tried running the wallets in 'compatability mode' on windows......for the older version of windows you are using ?? Hey gave it a shot, but it only allows compatabilty mode for older operating systems e.g. i can run the photon wallet in windows 2000/windows nt/98/me/95, I tried all the options but none of them worked (still getting error) and also there were no options for choosing it to run in 64bit mode. Because I do believe that there will be video games that will be popular and will use BLC merged coins. This will either make me some money or allow me to get game stuff without paying 'real' money. Either way I think it's worth it. If you don't as had been said time for you to move on.

I recently downloaded Photon-Qt for Windows. It's hard to figure out which is the latest stable release, with different versions posted in this thread, and on the photon website. I went for the download in the first post on this forum, assuming it's been updated. Photon Windows QT 8.9.1.1 Open ssl 1.0.1h+ QR code support. The help "about" still says it's version v0.8.9.0-g8c5e74e-beta, so that probably needs updating.
After adding a list of nodes suggested by BD747, I was up and running. But the client only processes 500 blocks before it stops catching up. I have to restart it, and it will catch up by another 500 blocks with each reload. I left it on all night and it still only does 500 blocks. Is there some sort of cache limitation that's preventing it from doing more?
edit: Yes, I know I should go to github and build from source. But I'm hopelessly clueless, and need a binary!

if just looking to use the wallet it sounds like you downloaded the correct wallet, thanks for bringing the numbers to my attention, i will put it on a list of minor changes to fix next time i release an updated wallet. no conf file is necessary it should synchronize with the network check your firewall and router sorry you have trouble, and i must admit the photon website has not been updated since the day i launched the coin, i should probably fix that, do not use a binary from there or it will only get so far before merged mining started I recently downloaded Photon-Qt for Windows. I think the problem is that I was using the old client without realizing it. I thought I replaced it by unzipping the new client into the same folder, but peazip just left the old files there without any notification (trying to deflect blame for silly mistake ).

I have made a small quality of life change to CCE. Post links have been changed to get links on most pages. This means that information in the explorer is now linkable: Example: http://pho.cryptocoinexplorer.com/block?block=95720
