Yes, of course diversification in investment and trade is a must to reduce the risk of loss. Investing in one coin is certainly very risky, different from investing in diversification that allows many opportunities to make a profit.

Diversification is the key. If you don't learn to diversify especially in crypto, you may end up loosing out completely at the end should the coin you have chosen fails to moon.

There's really no such thing as diversification IN cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency market is the general market, and so anything you buy within that market, whether it be alts or tokens or Bitcoin itself, if the entire market is down (like it is now) it doesn't matter too much what you bought. A strong asset can not remain so endlessly. If you have a goal to save funds, then it is certainly better to keep a strong asset. If the goal is to increase capital, it is better to sell a portion of a strong asset and buy a few weak ones.

Diversification is germane in any investment and as cryptocurrency is volatile, therefore diversification is consequential in order to avoid being burnt , so use your fund to get different coins because if one is not doing fine or dying you'll get profit elsewhere to cover for the loss
